if you didnt want to replace any of the parts you already have then i think your next step would be some form of valve train work (rockers or a cam) or an intercooler. if you plan on going much further with the car (youre going to hate me telling you this) you should really look into a nice set of headers.
whatcha need?
no problem. depends on my mood with how much i like to explain or just tell people.
Yeah you NEED to get a U-Bend Delete. Honestly if you can afford it go to ZZP and buy a 3" Downpipe...I'd get the one without a cat as they are A LOT cheaper and your car will sound way better too. Like I said you'll see gains somewhere around 15-20hp at least from a 3" DP/Cat Delete/U-Bend Delete...your car will love it and you'll most likely be Knock free...because right now even when you put the PCM in...you'll be knocking still with no exhaust mods...
And yes...very safe. You can run a PCM on a stock car even thought they are made for a bolt-ons GTP. They say it runs best with a Intake/Downpipe/U-Bend Delete/180* T-Stat/Colder Spark Plugs/3.4" or 3.5" Pulley. So you're alright. I'll give ya a call sometime tomorrow if you don't mind.
Well I'd tell you all of the benfits but there are SO many!! check out this link...it'll tell you everything you need to know. PCM for Grand Prix GTP v1.0: 3800 Performance
I'd let it go for $80 bucks and you can even keep your old one I don't need it as long as yours is an '03 it is good as gold
