    That "heavy knocking noise" you think you can get away with is gonna be a piston blowing apart. Ask a dozen forum members about it. You seem to think the pcm can pull timing fast enough to keep your pistons from chipping. 99 out of a 100 times maybe, but why risk it? Besides, your car WILL pull timing. It costs an extra 2 bucks per fillup to prevent that from happening. Why not?
