Whenever I get the cash for it, my history teacher has a set of original rims in mint condition off of his '06 SE he wants to sell me, after that yeah, lateral arms, then front and rear sways with new LCAs, then Vogtlands - after that I think I'm gonna call it good
Doesn't really matter. The hardest part is switching out the front control arm bushing, and you'll be doing that to put in the problem solvers. You'd save the work of replacing the rear bushing and ball joint if you bought new, that's about it.
Are there any better alternatives to the stock ball joints and rear bushings? I've decided against the original cam and intercooler idea on this one, I wanna keep it streetable and reliable. I do, however, want it to handle as well as one of these things possibly can, lol.
Ball Joints, not really. The rear bushing, If you hunt or do some research you might be able to track down a poly bushing for it. I ended up going with the blue Moog rear bushing and I like it. It's not quite as hard as poly, but it's leaps and bounds ahead of stock. I have't checked, but the Moog ProblemSolver control arms probably come with the rear blue bushings. If only they would come with the ProblemSolver FRONT bushings, but NO!
Put on tinted tails and reverse bar today, before and after
The battery went bad suddenly a while back. Doesn't hold a charge well, barely cranks the car over. And now, I went to take off and as soon as I hit the gas (not hard, just backing up), a "reduced engine power" warning flashed on the DIC and the check engine light came on. And to top it all off, my front turn signals quit working. The lights themselves work, but they won't flash.
Great deal on those wheels.
Rear looks good....just right amount of tint.....yep but those badges....make it hard to clean and hold dirt..
How old is the battery?
Whats with the goldtop in the previous pics....looks like a real LesPaul
Just replaced the battery over the summer, I'm not sure what's up with it. And yeah, it's a real Gibson, 60's tribute Studio. Played way better than the Standard they had with P90s, and it was about $600 cheaper, so I grabbed it instead
