NOICE! so jelly right now.
Here's a little run down of my day.
Been looking at a new car, an '88 Trans Am GTA convertible. Ultra rare, low mileage, kept indoors. Grandpa was getting rid of it, said I could have it for 5k. Scraped up the cash, got there this morning to buy it... Grandma wants to give it to my cousin (who they JUST bought a new Hellcat for, btw). Loaded enough to give cars away to spite my half of the family.
Been trying to buy a camper trailer, too, from my mom. Similar story, backs out last minute.
Tired and with a lack of time to do it myself, I take the GP to Walmart to have them restore the headlights. An hour passes, I pick up the car, and the headlights look like ****. Raw sanding marks all over the place. There's polish thrown everywhere, from my bumper all the way up past the windshield. The tool they used actually sanded the paint off of my brand new bumper in places. And upon later inspection, they broke the corner off one of my lights. I've gotten the headlights pretty clear since, but I filed a claim for the bumper. Afterwards, I go to get in the car, and their dirty ass rag is in my driver's seat and someone drank half of my unopened Mountain Dew I had in the cup holder.
I never take my car to anyone to do work... ^^^^case in point.
good news is you can afford a decent DA and pads now.
With a 3 inch backing plate, interface pad, 1500,3000 Trizact discs and pads, plus some Optimum Opti-lens you are all set
or do em by hand which takes a we bit longer.
I just buy new set off of ebay when they need resurfaced.
also you can just use Meguiar's ultimate compound. it works great.
I did mine by hand, and with a cordless drill. Lol it all depends on how much time you have.
Don't paint the spoiler black, that's what I'm doing. lol
Regardless, we're all gonna have cars that look like half-siblings...
Nope, still gonna look the same. Lol
Get them damn things on already!
I want tooooo. It's 9 hours each way to pick them up and I can't seem to get more than one day off at a time. I'll give it another month, if I don't get a couple days off I'm gonna make the 18 hour haul with no hood and slap that ***** on down there
No weekends?
Lol it's not the first time people have driven without a hood... Just get a piece of paper and write "on way to get new hood" on it, and stick it in the window. Lol
That could work, but what are you going too do if it sticks in the cracks? Lol
