Didn't even know about that lkq site. Thanks!

So I'm going the track tomorrow. So get your guesses in. Haven't been to the track in 15 years, and never with a fwd car. Won't be launching hard at all, don't want another tow ride back home. I'd love to see 13.5, but will be happy with a 13.9. at 101?

13.9. spinning aint winning, especially on street tires. scott ran something like a 13.8 and he's been several times, so i wouldn't be surprised if you don't break into the 14's. remember, if you aren't racing someone, the timer doesn't start until you go, so take your time at the start if you want.

timer always starts from when you leave, r/t dont affect the time or mph. if your racing someone and they have a better r/t out the hole you'll likely have lost the race already lol your time is still your time. you could sit at the line for 5 seconds and still run a 13.8 or what ever.

So yeah, that happened. So first run I was distracted, it's crazy how fast you go from staging to running down the track! I thought I was in 1st and when I went to shift into 2nd I hit neutral instead. Duh. 2nd run was a 15 something. Then we had to wait for over an hour for the class racers. Last run I hit the 13.69 at 101 and could not be happier. Had no idea a slow car could make you so friggin happy. Lol.

I imagine that there is a lot to gain with that crappy 60ft. I was driving like I was on the street and expecting a lot more wheel spin. So I would roll out slow and realize I'm not spinning as bad as I expected, then smash the throttle and go. Man I wish I could have got another dozen runs in. I gotta go back, that's so friggin fun.

Around 19°, no KR using boost juice. Need to clean up the fueling a little, I still have a little bit 93 octane in the tank and haven't cleaned up the tune since then.

that's a lot of boost. i'm on a 2.8 pulley too and only making 12.9. i'm only hitting 50% duty cycle with 80's.

nice run there. i like the track i go to. if i wanted to i could get 10 passes in easy. gotta get there just after gates open, and through tech before racing starts so your like in line for the first runs. then drive around and park in the lanes to cool off some. its like 15 minutes to get through the classes, st tires, dr/slicks, they have a gamblers race so that class, bikes sleds.

Don't you have a gen V? I was reading your thread when you posted your boost numbers and thought it was low. I max out the 2bar map sensor at 5300 rpm. So it's probably higher.

nice boost numbers. i need to get my oil leak fixed one day and take it back to the track. to bad the ss will be ran before it again tho. buying dr's and racestar wheels for it tomorrow night or sunday. then track the next week lol regal can rot... i pretty much set it and forgot it.....got it tuned in and have not really scanned it much, it runs drives and spins the tires at will. so its running pretty good 3.0 on the gen 5 nets me 13 ish psi. my 42's are maxed or id be on the 2.8 too and hitting 15 +. ran it for a minute, 15 psi at 5,000 rpm and injector duty @ 110% lol one of those times i felt good about only running 13º wot while maf and meth tuning.

Yeah Scotty I think I'll try a different track next time. My co-worker said the track in Marion is a lot less busy. Are my boost numbers on the high side? Maybe that 500cc meth injector is helping, but you spray too so idk. I'm using a corrected math in hptuners, the stock boost math shows me at 14.07 at 5300 rpm. But I'm at low elevation here, like 600ft I think.

me too tracks like 600 foot. its funny how the place gets packed out the last couple hrs tho. seen ppl roll in looking for tech at 9 pm. this track is low budget ville, and has very few lights. theres a little tiny bridge to tech, you could drive right past it and not see it at all.

dont think the meth adds boost. it might a bit due to cooling the charge but its not like 5 degree winter nights cold. thats a extra 2 psi all night lol

Oh, I thought the spray kinda sealed the rotors better which produces more boost. Dunno, maybe my rotors just seal good. First blower I had I scrubbed all the coating off thinking it was carbon buildup. Such a dummy.

I forgot you were on the 500 cc nozzle, stick that 1000 cc in and send it. you forget that i'm living at 7000 feet elevation, so my boost is going to be lower. I do have a gen 5. you could really benefit from a gen 5 I think, so much more top end.

my gen 3 make 13 psi on the 2.8 when i first started to spray meth. when i did the gen 5 swap the gen 3 rotors were ohhh so clean and shinny lol still made 13 psi. rotor coating is over rated.

Ah, 7000ft! That explains it lol. I just looked and the track is at 895ft. I'm seriously considering the genV now that I know about that website. Seen one with under 100k miles for like 130. I'll keep an eye on it. Next mod I was thinking rockers and springs though. I'd really like to wind this thing out to 7k or whatever it allows. I tell myself I'm done modding for this year, but after tonight I'm reconsidering.

Oh and that 1000cc injector will have to wait till I get a bigger reservoir. 1 gallon goes fast enough on 500cc. Need 5 gallons.

i got rockers and springs, i shift at 5800. stock cam fails to make any real pulling power past that point. so you may as well shift and early and keep moving.

cams will let you get to 6300 they say.

i tried shifting at 6100 iirc, shifted into 3 rd at the finish line. 97 mph lol lower shift points i make it to 3 rd by the 1000 foot mark or sooner now. and last time out hit 101 mph

And that's why I wanted more passes. Last pass I shifted at 6000. No reason, just picked an easy number to hit. Shifted into 3rd just before the line. We've both got 3.29 final drive, right?

hd tranny, so id guess so.

lower the shift to 5800, you'll go faster. do a good burn out and it can stick good once you get the launch figured out. my best 60 ft was a 2.0 so far.
