Bought a set of coilovers from Sandman awhile back

    refinished to match my scheme

    be for

    after

I had it about 1 inch lower then the after picture but the ride was so bouncy and rough I hated it. After raising it the car rides better but i still dont like the ride quality maybe the shocks are all used up IDK. Anyone checked out the new offerings by BR racing? They sell on zzp but can buy direct with free shipping for the same price. I didnt think Coilovers were gona be so rough. Ill figure it out lol

Took the coilovers off and put the stocks back on today. Dont like how I feel like the front of the car is getting ripped off every bump I hit. My steering wheel is out clocked now. It already was alignment time but now for sure.

So now do I order lowering spring and new shocks to be lower or just order new shocks and use the coilover parts I have and build new ones?

I know I want the car to be lower but not if it feels like im in a bouncy house on a newly paved road. Help me out ive read the wana be lower thread but it didnt say lower meant getting the crap kicked out myself and my car. Only that its hard on the axles and whatnot.

Bought a zzp 3.2 pully from the classifieds here and put it on to run it.

I was expecting to see some KR but have none and no counts either. I will admit I have not hit wot but all seems well.

I purchased a smaller belt also the one I have for the 3.4 says it works for the 3.2 but I got one that is 3.2 to 2.8

Tested more extensively last night. At wot I hit 2.7 KR max.

Ill put my 3.4 back on until I can some supporting mods. but the thought of buying a ic makes my butt hole pucker.

I think id rather cam up or get 1.9 rockers

you'll need injectors with a 3.2 or smaller.

im a na bottom end rockers, fsic, some diy ported heads with 42's and a 2.8 and a dash of meth injection at 17º wot kr free.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Kinda thinking the 1st thing I should do is invest in a tuner. I know my tune from intense is ok but it is rich and my LT and ST trims are wacky.

Then I can really see what its doing and make adjustments as I go.

For me to run FSIC 42s and rockers is 1k bucks not including the tuner... grr hate spending money lol

Did a lot to the car yesterday.

    All new engine/trans mounts.

new starter. the old one kept running even with the key out.

    New power steering rack.

Been sitting on these parts for awhile. I was given a 68 impala fastback that has been taking up my time.. I think IDJ would have put it in the trash.

It's got bad front rear window metal bad cowl bad lower quarters bad tail panel bad lower fenders. Somehow the floors are great.

The gp wont see anything new for awhile as my focus has shifted. I still find myself looking in the parts classified never know when a cant pass it up will come along.

dont need them till your running a 3.2 pulley or smaller. 3.2 will have them about maxed out.

What about tuning Scotty? I have yet to get a tuner.

Do you really think meth would let me run the 3.2? the idea of a fs intercooler just doesn't sit well. Damn things are still so much money and I dont see cheap used ones.. ever.

I'm just going to have to be happy with the 1.9's for now and keep the 3.4 on and leave the 3.2 as a dream

i was stuck at a 3.2 with a fsic. meth let me drop to a 2.8 and added 7 degrees timing. i was going to get another l67 car and run meth only and see how small i could go. was thinking 3.2 maybe 3.0 with just meth, nothing else but maybe injectors. i say maybe on the injectors cause you pull fuel from the maf in the tune, the meth makes up for the fuel you remove. makes your octane content higher and cools the air charge, and cools the blower.

So while removing the alt bracket yesterday I snapped the bottom of it off in the front cover. Stupid thing wouldn't come out. (see photo) 97 only thing?

I have another bracket off my parts engine but it is a 98. If I get a 98 alternator can I run this bracket? I want to get a new Alternator anyways.

I also noticed that where the hoses connect to it are different also. Will this be a issue?

I don't want to deal with to many hassles. if it's to big of a deal I'll just order a ebay one they can't cost to much.. Can they?

you can pop the 98 bracket on there and reuse your alt. its if you change to a 99 up bracket with both plastic elbows you need a new alt.

the inlet tubes come off if you want you can swap them. i like the straight out style myself tho. not a fan of the elbow style.
