Since everyone else has their builds...

    I have a build thread over @ http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=5817145

    Anyway some simple run downs....

    Beat up $1000 , 2001 GTP.

    Stattama T67, Plogs, e85, st5 cam,blah..

PRJ built trans. 4th delete, ISS delete, GMR Diff, GMR 1" 3.29s, blah... worked out great and alot of runs (100+) in 2013...

200k+ mile L67 out of a 96... Tischler cleaned the block up, and just replaced the bolts/bearings/rings with stock replacements.
Yocal shop heads, FBody intake, stock L67 TB, blah... nothing to special on the engine.

Still pretty ugly and beat up on the outside but hopefully have it to the shop this winter to get all pretty. Have all new bumper skins, fenders,
    fiberglass stock style hood, ect..

Its been a nice group effort. Had PRJ rewire the whole car. Fusebox under airbag panel, PCM in the glove box. Anything pretty much
not needed, has been removed/cut out. Windows/Heat still work tho. Also did the fuel system..

My buddy Sean lets it live in his super nice garage and done alot of the harder tooling and machining of parts like the custom
    coil overs and what not...

My other buddy Tyler chipped in on the work and fun...

Without them, car probably would have never happened as I am no good once its past boltons. Plus I don't have a garage sooooo...

We all take turns beating the crap out of it at the track, and has held up pretty well.. Last day it raced was last year,
and the ZZP converter start to whine... So now it sits at TEP. Tripple Disc locking converter from Precision, GMR input shaft,
3rd clutch piston, Transbrake and other TEP goodies going in.. to get it geared up for 9's on the ol' T67.

Car makes no extra power after 19psi as the converter slip was over 1000+ , more boost = more slip.
With the new converter setup and junk, can start going at it at 24/25psi and see how it holds up

So anyways, here are some pictures of the mess... Hopefully more to come this fall once the car is back.

    Looks and sounds slow.

Nah I kid. That looks and sounds amazing. Can't wait to see what other wonders you do to the exterior.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

Once I start having some actual real news, ill probably just update this thread here if I remember.

CGP is dying a slow death, so no idea when my build there will disappear there.

Thanks... for the exterior, my plans is mostly to make it as stock as possible looking.

If I could find some old GPO inserts, and some nicer headlights maybe.. but other then that, I want it to look as stock
    as possible

I have a stock style fiberglass hood from VFW.. save some weight.

Will be ordering polycarbonate from Optic Armor... save even more weight... And finally I just noticed they updated/fixed
the site so can look up fitment and order.

    http://www.opticarmorwindows.com/app...cturer=Pontiac

Being its drag car setup, no worries about wipers scraping it up. May get the whole 1/8" kit, tho probably only gonna use the front/rear.

For anyone that cares and may not know...

    http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/9703Grandprix.htm

I ended up getting the bolt on stock style.. save weight, but still be able to open/close it normally. I have fears of forgetting to pin it down for a test drive and
    having it shoot off

Never test fitted it but over all eye balling of it, quality appeared pretty nice.

Prices for windows dont seem to bad really. 1-1200ish for whole car depending on thickness isnt too bad.

Ya.. not bad considering years ago for the Percys Speedglass was about that much if not more actually just for front/rear.

The sales person I talked to mentioned while not recommended, some people will still use the door glass to go up and down.

I doubt I'll use the door glass, as well.. i like that my windows still go up and down. But maybe will do so once window motors die or something.

Be interesting how it turns out during the body work phase. I'd like to somehow knock 150-200lbs off the car without making it really look swiss-cheesed.

The 10pt cage upgrade, the dash will be removed for that, and then probably hacked up to be the bare mininum to hold it in place and remove all the extra
wiring that was lift in it that is not needed. Glass replacement + hood + some little here and there things, MAYBE knock 100lbs off.. the extra 50-100 I want
will be tough.. as the 10pt cage will add more weight

Talk em into doing a carbon fiber hood for me .. I tried for a few months with no luck.

ICM stacking thing, i'll have to wait that out and see how it goes for me... my stance for now is "If MattM can run 8's on a stock IGN, I can run 9's then"

you wont have to wait long...local full boogie nitrous riv is going to be running it through its paces

zeph already proved it out and it never hurts to have some extra juice to the spark (you did see the vid right?). ive already got everything for the TR's settup sitting in a bag on the dash lol

cash talks with vfn, but ill broach the subject to em lol

Ya saw the video.. Just still pondering, is it really needed if people have made more power/gone faster without it?

I tried talking to them but the guy who is their carbon guy, just wouldn't do a one off carbon hood.

I hear lots about this RIV but where is the build thread!!

Not many people are a fan on nitrous (excuse's IMO it can be awesome if used properly) and I'd love to see more nitrous builds!
    sorry to off topic.......

I have never touched the stuff, but I am not opposed to using it once I start needing it.

I have a new precision 7675 ball bearing paperweight sitting to go on... once that is on, ill have to re-evaluate if nitrous is needed or not.

i think someone in the classifieds here has an original CF intense hood fs....could go fer setting up a group buy lol

the TR idles great with a .045+ gap, breaks up like a ***** at 14psi. we've run up to 22psi but with only a .032 gap.

idles like ****, stumbles off idle, open the gap and the problem disappears (some **** just isnt the tune....)

ill run 4 of those ****ers stacked if it means we can run .045+ gap at 22+ psi....just power up the extra ICM's via a hobbs switch/or the 2spd FP control (since it still functions, but isnt utilized)

as much as id love to punt the coin for CPP to make sure both banks fire at the same kv, id deal with the wasted spark bs if i can get it to lightoff at least...

I want a stock style CF hood or SLP/GTX style at most

I've had zero break up issues at idle, and zero issues down the track and I ran it up to 22psi.... Gap I think is around .035 give or take .001 probably.

Only problem during first stages of getting it all tuned once it finally started, was the injectors that were used. There is an offset table that needed modified and we got the table
values needed from the vendor, got that into the tune, and bam.. idled and drove around like a champ.

I still ponder if that is all really needed or not.. Since I still plan on going 9's on totally stock ignition. Knock on wood, i've had
zero problems at idle or down the track at 22psi..
