It's a perfect cam for stock LS6 heads. And a perfect cam for 3.73s coupled to the mn12 trans.
Would recommend getting headers though.
i mean, i'd love to go super big with the cam, but it's probably not worth it in the end. something i could run on stock heads, get me a little closer to 400whp, and that would sound cool i'm sure would have me totally satisfied. i drive in fairly heavy traffic, though, so that has to be accounted for. i need the car to still be able to cruise at 5-15mph...

The day that you or anyone else you are pasting from 'tech or any other site shows me an 8 second LSx car you built and have owned for 13 years, I'll consider you worthy of a guffaw at the most. i wouldn't even know what numbers to type in my phone to begin calling you. i don't even know if i'll do it for a while.
i thought it would be a fun way to keep me interested in the car when i go to do a valve spring swap around 100k, but it's going to be much easier on my wallet and workload to get the car back on the road just to replace the valve springs and be done with it.
Something tells me you can get my digits. And you are correct in your thinking, it'll be plenty fast with a reasonable cam and DD status. Or, you could just turbo it and beat anything, or just lie about it. Oh, did I target someone? LOL

Coblat driving mod also is a buttcrust, but I've learned to like him.
Not going to engage this guy... he hasn't said one thing about why the Vindicator is a bad cam, nor has he provided any alternatives. He just used some classy language to show his awesome manliness. The same awesome manliness that left him blacked out on the floor trying to remember where he was when he woke up. Building an 8 second car has nothing to do with picking a good cam for a car that's going to be a DD.
