camber/caster plates are so you can adjust camber/caster. in a straight side to side orientation they only adjust camber. if you spin it one hole it'll adjust camber and caster at the same time. typically you don't need caster adjustment unless you're racing it or can't get it back within spec unless you adjust it up top.

most coilovers will come with camber plates at least in the front.

why is this even a question? keep the hood closed and leave it alone. lower it and put wheels on it already.

    But it's so ugly.....

Ok so now I know about the plates. Been eyeing some other wheels so I'll post them later.

Wheels getting purchased next month and coils as well.

    Update.

Been busy with work and things like that. Been peeling dip off the car that's stuck in crevices and things like that.

Car is going in for paint in a few weeks so I'm trying to get all the dip off the Car.

Scored some wood trim from the yard for 9 bucks. Score for me because it's like 95.00 on eBay. They snap in so I change them whenever.

Found the shifter on eBay that matches the woodgrain but it's like 75.00 and not a necessity at the moment.

Been hoarding parts and doing research. Thinking of retrofitting the headlights and painting the housings black.

Mini morimoto projectors fit perfectly in the lower bulb spot with no cutting involved. So that's the plan.

    Oh this happened. Smh.

Wasn't paying attention and there was a midget pole behind me as I left the paint shop for estimates. Got it home and then thus happened

My mom (yes my mom) popped it out lol. It's barely there but it's so much better. Doesn't bother me as much. Might get it fixed when the car goes for paint.

Speaking of paint let me inform you of the crooks of my city. Went to get a few estimates and I even went to maaco (bad idea lol that's where the pole damage happened)

First shop wanted 1300 for a full respray. Then I came back to get it writing and it went to 1500.00. Huh? We just spoke twenty minutes ago. Painter said I didn't notice that your paint was a two stage paint.
What? All factory paint is two stage. Smh so that's a shop I won't be considering.

Now to maaco. Two different ones anyways just curious to be honest. See the thing about maaco is that its a franchise and you may get lucky at certain shops with hood painters and then you may get an awful painter who gives no cares and does no prep and makes the paint worse.

First maaco said 569.00 with our urethane paint. Basically it's paint with clear mixed in so it can be applied in one stage. Wasnt interested in that but I inquired about my car being painted with that paint and he said I could get any color EXCEPT my factory silver (which is what i wanted) and gold. His reasoning was that my paint has a slight metallic hue to it so it has to be sprayed in two stages.

So I was confused and decided to go to another and they confirmed it and said it's because the paint may come out cloudy without the clear coat. They offered to get it close to it but here's the kicker. He wanted to charge me 1128.00 for the two stage. 355.00 just to remove the then small dent in the trunk.

So now im looking into other shops to paint the car. I mean the paint is only bad on the hood and the rear bumper so I'm seriously considering painting it myself. Any thoughts?

    Edit

I wouldn't mind this color at all.

I wouldn't see why you wouldn't try it yourself first.

You're already looking at spending $1200 to get it professionally done. So why not try yourself first, and if it comes out alright, well you saved yourself a bunch of money but if not, just bring it to get professionally done like you were originally planning on.

All they are going to do is charge you to have the dent removed by getting a dent guy or door ding guy out there that charges a fair price and then the shop gets 30 percent of what the dent guy makes as a shop rental fee

Ok maybe found a deal. I spoke to this guy awhile back but never went to see his work. While browsing Craigslist I ran across this ad.

    Car Painting $400 -
    http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org...824513458.html

It's the same guy that I spoke to last time. He seems very legit so I'm going to his shop next week to see the location and if the lot is secure because it's gonna take 4 days to complete. Only thing is that it's an hr away so I can't just go to check on the progress.

What's up guys. Not to much going on with the g. Been stacking parts. Grabbed a coupe midpipe which changes the tone of the exhaust to sound like the coupe. Grabbing a hr Y pipe from a 370z tomorrow. Better design and better flow and adds about 7-9 rwhp so that's gonna be fun.

Also the car goes for paint on Tuesday. Gonna take a week and it's getting painted back to factory brilliant silver. I wanna go to another color but I think the silver is a nice color as well.

Dropping the car off for paint so looking forward to see how it's gonna come out
