More pics coming this weekend of the new front bumper brace installed and modifications to the front bumper cover to improve air flow....stay tuned

I would also suggest spacing up the rear hood hinges to get some vacuum going to pull hot air.
I am hoping to make it for part of the race. Should be a good time if the weather cools off a bit by then.
Effin props to you guys, that is awesome! Lol
hey man, wicked car, cant wait to see it boosted!
how hard was it to removed the full dash? im wanting to replace mine and fix some electrical issues at the same time.
any pointers?
The dash is a PITA to get out. you'll have to drop the steering column, remove the center console and lots of wiring to be disconnected. Just take your time and take lots of pictures as you go along. No realy easy way around it. Since we just stripped it all out we didn't worry too much about how we romoved it. Sorry I couldn't help any more.
We already have a 8 point roll cage installed and no need for reducing any more chassis flex. Currently we run a 36mm front sway bar, GMPP rear bar, Moog rear end links, energy suspension front end link bushings, Moog tie rod ends, Monte Carlo aluminum subframe, and strut tower braces. This past weekend I did the front and rear GXP brakes and we run GXP Bilsteins with Eibach springs. I think the only real upgrade we have left is coil-overs, and wider tires for a better contact patch, currently we have 245/45R17 Dunlop Direzza Star Spec's

Ever thought of something along these lines?

I figure you could loose quite a bit of weight of the engine with no dog bones. Also, have you removed all the wiring for the hardware (window regulators, sensors on the engine, etc.) you've removed? Sorry if you mentioned doing it earlier in the thread.
I've always wondered what stops you from buying a modded car for cheap? Like what if I bought a GTP with a gen v blower, cammed, intercooled, headers, 3.1 pulley, etc. all for $500?
as long as you keep your budget within check and in the good graces of the judges then you can run almost anything. Mind you this is an endurance race and you want to do everything to make the car last, like keeping your cooling system in check along with trans temps and a good set of brakes.
You can run any tire you want as long as the minimum tread wear rating is 200 or higher...no race compounds so any brand and design of tire is ok.
We just installed the GXP front and rear brakes with Carbotek pads, will take pictures this weekend and post them up. Also we are headed to the Pontiac Southern Nationals and will be entering the LeMon car, just need to see what catagory the car will be slotted into. Wish us luck.
Now some more pic's of the GXP brakes front and rear installed, additional cooling in the front bumper, and our additional night time race light. Oh....and I won first place in modified GP class 88-08, first ever car show at the Dallas Pontiac Southern National car show
Just wanted to find out if any locals in Texas want to come out to the race on the 28-29th of September. Address is One Performance Dr. Angleton TX 77515. Post up if you can make it, we have a garage rented that is just under the grand stand area so there will be shade and a place to relax.
