Agreed. lol. Thanks to this trip, car got 2 new CV axles, new rack, new outer tie rods, new ball joints, new heads and LIM, 2 new tires, a new fuel pump, and a few random electronic thingys I did, like always lol.
I still have a relatively rough idle, IMO. Other than that, it's ready for the transmission to be done, then a WB, meth, smaller pulley, and eventually...twin chargeredness.

methanol is good stuff. E85 didn't work well for me, but methanol makes all the difference.

undecided, theres few way i can go about things. 1, swap all mods over, or swap the sub frame engine and all. if the new cars na, just sell the regal na, f it.
or 2, keep both cars, cam regal and just use it to beat on. then cause meth is treating me so good, install meth and a 3.0 with no other mods and see how that goes lol
need to get off my ass and go check this car out. once again, no time to even go look at it. https://www.carsforsale.com/used-car...tails/30756042 no way im paying that price tag, its got issues you can see in the pics and once inspected on a lift, ill find more stuff to get the price down. if they wont drop to 3500 to 4000 they can keep it. im not in need of a car, but this is truly the nicest one ive come across so far. seen a blue one just like in person, the color is damn nice when all shined up.

I don't have the option for E85, so methanol it is. Plan is to use the stock washer fluid tank (not the pump) and use the "Low Wash" circuit to trigger a BBV solenoid so if I run out of meth it'll cut the boost off. I'll also change how the low wash indicator circuit is powered, so whenever the meth pump is triggered it'll have power.

just buy a aem kit with a tank, its a clean simple install, hell marshal installed one lol
its got a progressive controller and a led light to tell you its working, if it flashes, let off asap, your not getting any meth.
i went from a 3.2 and 14º timing to a 2.8 and 17º in no time at all. car literally feels like it gained 50 hp. and im running -20 washer fluid, so only 30-35% meth.
im 100% kr free well into 3 rd gear wot, not even a blip at the shifts.

That's what I'm wanting. I already have a frozen boost pump and reservoir, I just need a controller, some line, and a nozzle. I have a spare L32 LIM setting here (the original from this engine, and I can get each runner drilled\tapped relatively easily, so I'm really thinking of going that route. Hell, since I have to buy line anyways, maybe I can rig up some hard line to make it purdy or something.

thats gonna get costly pretty fast. i must say, spraying at the tb makes the blower stay cooler by a lot, like i can lay my hand on it after doing 3 pulls down the hwy.

Glad you returned safely from the adventure, that's good news. Hope you had no trouble with the pump seal squirming around after the install, using the OE seal seemed to be the only option for this guy, and iirc SD had trouble too. Mine croaked at grocery store, bfe would suck hard on that. I see you've got more big plans. Fix those rockers before I begin to suggest you fix cars like a girl or something, lol. Good to hear your updates, and great that we are all in good enough shape to work so hard. Thought of boobs the other day when I ran across that black OBD2 adapter. Hey just FYI because you like trucks... Classic Trucks magazine has features on junk we did in both the July and August issues. I am about to start a Bronco project up there. Stay cool and don't work too hard, Matt.

Hey everyone, actually getting to work on the car again. I went through 2 more rack and pinons before they "upgraded" me to the better brand for free. I also cleaned out the shop (again) and did an inventory on the new transmission...then ordered new parts! I ordered everything except for the side cover gasket and TC from TEP on Tuesday, but I haven't got a shipment notification yet. That said, if all goes well I'll be building it next weekend. I ended up sticking with GXP chains since there seems to be quite a few problems with the 7\8" setup, and converted over to the ratcheting sprag setup. Only because the original input\third drum had a bad bushing on it.
I've put in nearly 600 hours of OT this year already, so I haven't had much time to put in the car. I still have plenty to do, so I'm hoping this little project will get me "involved" again. For the time being, I'm BACK!!

Hoping to, on weekends at least. A 60 hour week still gives me all day Friday (after getting off work at 8AM) and all day Saturday to putz around. If my transmission stuff was here I'd be out putting it altogether now. I still might go out and do some cleaning though.

I've never seen anyone have any problems with GXP chains breaking or stretching, but I have seen plenty 7\8 problems. If I do end up having problems, Jeff is welding a reluctor wheel to the original 7\8" setup that was in this trans so I'll just need to buy a chain. Finally got a shipping notification from UPS, and the trans part will be here Tuesday. That means the build will start next weekend. That brings me to another question, anyone have any experience with Pro King TCs? A buddy has an account at O'reillys so I can get one very cheap. I can't find much on the interwebz on them, so I wondered if you guys heard anything on them.
