or go silver and get the grand prix overlay on the calipers
So I painted the grille the gunmetal metallic gm duplicolor n coukdnt be happier. I love the color of it. I have quite a bit left so next week ill do my lower bumper covers to match n it should all flow pretty well. I took the red caliper paint back n got cast iron color engine enamel. Ehh looks better than normal but I would have liked a lighter gunmetal look. Cant complain tho, they needed it, they were looking rough. Got front two done, about to do the back two. Pictures because I love pictures.
N heres the calipers.
Grills look good.
The calipers look decent also. Subtle looking.
Thanks, yeah the calipers coulda been more gray. Theyre like a brownish grey. Oh well maybe next time lol. Or silver just woulda looked fine too
look goood wannna seee the rims on there
make sure u clear the grilll really good i didnt the same thing and i rock hit mine and i hadd to take all the paint off to refix them now i used like 2 can of clear and they never chip
Haha yeah I threw the rims on the back to make sure the fit n see if id have to roll the back fenders. Im pumped for em lol. But I put like 3 coats of clear on it. I looked n had a smudge from something already lol. It prob wasnt fully dried up yet. Not big tho so its strait
Car looks great bro, fully loaded too. All you missing is a HUD, BTW those Exhaust tips are sick way better than the crappy stock ones.
The grills look killer. Now for lower and rims.
Not sure about 19's, have you searched around the forum as to which tires to run. Yes I'm running stock size tires.
Yes I've searched, nothing. Just on this here but it doesn't mention if lowering would affect it. http://www.grandprixforums.net/got-s...ere-29622.html
But in reality, you're lowered with the same height, with your 16s n series tire, as I would be with my 19s n my lower series tire as it is, and you have no problems is how I see it. Lol if that makes sense.
Have you fiddled with this deal Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com
You can compare your stock with the new
Well, just figure out what size 19" tire is the same size as your stock tire and that should in theory be the one you go with. Even after slightly lowering. Just my thinking.
Gotcha, that's what I thought too. Thanks fellas
Those 40s are just a smidge shorter its just the width and offset that would cause any problems, .... you already know
How did you do the caliper painting...in place or take em off...The silver and silverish combo on everything looks smooth
Yeah the stocks are 26.8 by 8.9 n thr 19s would be 26.7 by 9.6..they should be okay. Or I can go with a 235/40 n be 26.4 height by 9.3. Ill have to see.
N with calipers I just taped n newspapered off the rotors n cleaned then primered n 3 coats of the paint in place. Came out really good. But the color choice coulda been lighter. I love the gunmetal color I picked up tho. N thanks
Another nice day up here, cleaned up my tips and painted some ish under the hood. Did all the gunmetal n flipped my dog bones while I was at it. Haven't drove it yet so idk if there's even a difference.
Before
after
