If you take more than 20 minutes hooking up that WB inside...... it'll get ugly.

Interior wiring is complete. Got the wideband done and did a nice clean install for my HPTuners box. All that anyone will see is my USB cable sticking out if I were to hook up the laptop. No ugly bundle of wires laying on the floor/going over the center console when tuning. Hopefully I can do some more work Friday night and then finish everything else up over the weekend.
For the record...he was in the garage for about 2 hours. Luckily a local came by and sidetracked me from giving him a hard time about the pace.
Install looks friggin awesome though.
Pics of the install of the WB?....plan on wiring mine up in a similiar way since I'm upgraded to HPT pro.
Well... what WB do you have and what location do you plan on doing it would be questions that need to be answered first. Max's install is on an Intrigue and therefore a GP won't have the closing cubby hidey hole he installed into.
Wel that's not true bill, one could remove the ash tray and do it in there for a nice hidey hole.
I store my wideband stuff in the glove box, same could be done for the hpt stuff. Box will still close with the wire coming out.
oh hai
I'll try to post up pics by Saturday for ya
So to update the thread, Bill and I made some more progress yesterday. When I wasn't around Thursday night he removed the front bumper, got the IC pump loosely mounted, did some more wiring, got the alternator, tensioner assembly, and metal coolant elbow installed. Yesterday we painted the header using VHT flat black ceramic paint, painted the heat exchanger black for a sleeper look, and painted my cross braces. We also finished the exhaust by using the air hammer for creating room to install the stock O2 sensor, installed wideband, installed front header, and bolted to the catback. We also installed the coil pack bracket, tensioner assembly, and dogbones.
Maybe another 6-8hrs left and then we'll fire her up!
Works for me. SWWEEEEET!
Dave...the headers look familiar?
Max was under the car when the ICM bracket and ps dog bone were installed. He said, "how'd you get that in there?". My reply "Don't ask, but you know the 30 minutes of pounding you heard while you were under the car. Yeah."
It's coming along nicely.
I should come down this weekend.
Update from tonight. Didn't get to do that much this past weekend due to other projects but here is where the car is at now. Bill made a nice bracket to support the hood latch mechanism. I took plenty of pictures of that too so for those who want to have plenty of clearance for a FMHE (whether its an air to air or water to air) but still have the hood latch support rigid/solid, this is what you do....
And here are some under hood pictures:
yummy.
Goal is to have it running by the end of the week. It'll happen, it better lol.
