Polished? Go figure haha.
Lol well it's a Wbodystore one I'm pretty sure it polished
****....
Mine wasn't. Just machined. Still looked pretty, but not polished pretty.
Whats broken now?
Soooooo....I spent a good majority of the day buttoning up random things. Rewired the alternator, routed the fuel pump rewire, did my oil change...you know...typical stuff. Got some pics for the guys who were asking.
First the console with the shifter sticking out. I like it.
Then I took some pics of the engine assembled...figured someone might like to see these...
Here's the dash...notice anything missing?
Then I figured it was time for the start-up, and this happened...
That's right b!tches!!! She lives! I don't have the exhaust hooked up right now because it'd be easier to do on the lift, so it's loud, but it lives. Fuel trims are showing 16.4 for LTFT but that could be in the tune because this is only the base tune I made up. I don't hear any vacuum leaks...and even if there are, I can fix those pretty easy. I moved it back and forth within its confines to check clutch operation (works awesome) and if it's dry tomorrow I'll run it up and down the road (the undercoating is still tacky and I don't want it all covered in road crud.)
I finally feel like I've accomplished something with this build. Everything up until now was a lot of fun (other than breaking things) but this...THIS is what it's all about. For those who asked before "What do you think it'll put down for numbers?" All I can say is, the car will be a hell of a lot of fun whether it does 400HP or 200HP. There are very few W-body people with 5 speed swaps...and I am now proud to be part of that club. But, to those who wish to join me, good luck. This was a difficult, time consuming build. One which I'm glad I won't have to go through again.
woohooo congrats man.
the greatest feeling is firing up your project and pulling it out of the garage and going up and down the road.
it wants a LOT more fuel haha.
I'm curious about the fuel rails.
Looks like Aeromotive rails. Have any detail shots on those and/or list of parts you ended up using?
Also for the last bit of the claim: It may run, but does it move under its own power?
Regardless: Congrats!
SHE LIVES!! SHE ****ING LIVES!!! Whoooooooooooooo!! Great job hun!
For the sake of not breaking things: Dial that thing in first.
Well, on its inaugural road test, it obviously isn't going to be beat on. I'm still reading through all that tuning stuff you sent me trying to commit it to memory so I can hopefully get it dialed close myself. I got this far so I think I can get through some tuning, too.
Congrats!! And it's about time lol.
You'd better not forget to bring the hpt home. And if you can find them the hv2 bolts.
Haha I could steel Stappens but I'd prefer mine back
Good job man!! Hope to see some videos of this thing burning tires into 3rd in a month or so.
WHAT?????????????????????? say it isn't so
boo **** you winter
