for losing low end with headers and hv3 that is true, which is why I went with my downpipe instead of headers and will be getting a Power-log(from ZZP) in the spring so no low end trq loss, but its pretty much the same price as headers. and i can turbo one day if I really want(cant turbo with headers)

I don't think I would want to turbo. But not loosing to much bottom end sounds better. Any suggestions on down pipe? Is down pipe and HV3 still compatible?

    Must check out overkill!!!

anything is compatible with HV3, except a supercharger.
downpipes: ZZPerformance - ZZP Downpipes #ZZ-GPDP
    Powerlog/PLOG: ZZPerformance - 304 Stainless Power Log #ZZ-304PLOG
but like I said, its the price of ebay speedy daddy headers, even thought hear speedy daddy's are out of stock nowadays.

They're out of stock every once in awhile until a new batch is made. As of now they're in stock.

ya I check and it looked like there was 10 in. I guess i need a little schooling on down pipe's. What's the difference between them and Headers. Had the kids last night while wife was out and forgot to get more pics of spoiler. I'll try to remember tonight.

Ok so looking at the links for down pipe/ power log, it looks like the difference is that I could go with a cat'ed down pipe and the power log which let's me leave the back mani alone. looks like this would make less tie points than new headers. Does this sound like I'm on the right page? Then add the HV3 and get overkill tune. They don't mention in the "Safely Modding" thread anything about lower end loss with headers. Is this an experiance thing that most agree on?

Yup headers replace both the front and rear manifolds as well as the stock down pipe. If you go with a plog that will replace the front manifold and a zzp downpjpe would of course replace the stock downpipe. Installation would be easier with a plog/downpipe combo. You'll still see a nice gain.

Most of us say always go header because they flow better and will cost you nearly the same as a plog/downpipe. But if your planning on staying n/a a plog and downpipe would be just fine and cuts down quiet a bit on the install time.

Which way has less low end loss? I would like to keep as much low end as possible sence I feel like i've already lost some with the K&N air intake. Not sure if that's what has happend but it feels that way too me. Also I probly wont be doing the install myself. I don't want to mess things I don't know about up, so if the headers don't loose to much low end will they be a better bang?

Headers will cause you to lose more low end on a n/a set up. Ill stick w/ plog and downpipe combo in your case. Install can be done in a few hours it's rather easy. If you have basic sockets/ a few extensions and a breaker bar your good to go. Headers would be a harder install and cost you more as well.

As a side note: I like the green and red I've been doing together and would like to add a couple more small touches like: Front lettering kit , Rear lettering kit and rocker panel lettering kit.
I would stick to the non reflective red to try and match the caliper paint i've done. Under the hood I've already installed a red tower sway bar so I think I might want to paint the dog bones and two other support bars (don't know there technical name)to match. Too Much?

I think that makes my mind up. with a little help I guess I might be able to tackle this as I installed K&N by myself. Have a decent shop with tools but what is a breaker bar. (Cheater bar?)

Yay to the front and rear inlays in red if that's the secondary color your keeping. The rocker inlay..no...keep it simple you don't want it to scream. The inlays would be a nice touch and keep it looking oem ish. As far as painting I wouldn't go overboard under the hood w/ the red. I would just paint just the dog bones and leave the rest black.

    correct.
and yes headers will lose low end. and headers would be way more expensive if your going to do it at a shop, plog and downpipe can be done at home with basic tools.

Yup a cheater bar. Linked below in case we call it two different things.

I wouldn't pay someone to install it for me unless they were charging you a very low price.

I like the thoughts on just painting the dog bones but I like the looks of the rocker inlays. Has anyone purchased one of the inferno front air dams from PFYC.com?

Most go with the SE lip instead of the inferno. You can get the SE from the dealership and is easy to install. The inferno seems to have a fitment problem and most have ti use screws or bolt to reinforce it and just doesn't flow good with our cars IMO.

If you'll like to rocker panel inlays..try it out and see how it turns out worse case scarnrio your just a few $.

Not unless you do something custom. I would love to have some to match the honeycomb grills.

RedcompG would you know the full name of your front lip? I called my GM Dealership and the guy said for an 04 nothing realy show's up but he did have a couple of options from the description of what it looked like. I just don't want to order unwanted parts. I did tell him it was an SE lip.
