I like, except for the tail. You need to debadge the daytona stuff on the doors and delete the pinstripe. Nice pick up.

Depends on the option codes attached to the daytona package. Some get rails, some get the hood, some get different wheels... it just depends on which options they went with. Not like the GTX where it was a more specific package deal.

EDIT: Clean Car btw... tail made me LOL

Keep the badges. Its kinda what makes other people notice it is special. If u debadge itd look like a 1998 GTP Coupe... IMO
If it was a stock GT or GTP id say rip em off.
And it looks super clean and im a fan of these myself.

Looks like it has some clear coat issues on the rear bumper? Clean car otherwise. Nice Find.

I'd agree, being a 98 Daytona owner myself. The badges are make it unique as well as the color. If debaged its just another GTP. I'm not saying our Daytonas are better or faster, just stand out more.

Ya gotta say the suggestion to debadge it made me kinda scratch my head a bit lol, the pin stripe I have thought of taking off but come to like it a lil.
And yes the rear bumper has some paint fadeing going on , needs a trunk and rear bumper, the previous owner clearly didn't care for the car that well. So I haven't really gotten all of its little issues fixed yet, but love my gtp ,by far the best car I have ever owned and this will be the car I never part with. So will gladly bring it back to glory.

i understand that the daytona badges make it stand out. it was just an opinion. i tried to obtain a daytona many years back but was not able to get it. To each his own. You will have to keep us posted on the progress of bringing it back to glory.

I do think the pin stripe needs to go but other than that and the paint fading it looks really good. Love the Daytonas and their color
