:tapping foot...still don't see it yet...where is it nick?
Incidently I give it about 3 months before you've dumped twice the amount you expected because of plumbing and axles
Ask Bill, its right at the right height and it feels great to drive...I actually am considering raising it a little maybe down the line just so I can toss it around corners harder.
Frick I know... was a mofo...
There is a story there but Ill share it in private... Lets just say it involves a parking lot at a Wegmans in Niagara Falls NY and my tube of Scotch Print and a funny looking Canadian trying to get it out as some dude in an ambulance watched while his partner was inside...
Just dont do it yourself, have a friend there and contrary to what you see on youtube, I think its best to peel the backing back a small bit at a time, and move methodically along... I tried their method (peel the whole backing off) and I nearly wrecked the whole thing... even now I'm tempted to do a re-do... its greaat by most people's standards, but my standards are higher... LOL
I was thinking I would some how get a 6" strip up the center of the hood and lay that, then work each side. I wouldn't have a problem if the hood was flat, but it has gills
When you heat it up you will see how pliant it is make sure you have a heat gun, but dont let it linger too long bc you will burn through it
Too bad I wasnt closer to you, between the two of us we could knock it off I bet.
your only 8 hours or so away
^^^I just bought a nice camera too...
We've been talking about a North East club meet on GPONA for a while now, but it doesnt need to be a club meet, it needs to be a GP meet... maybe a group showing at GM Nats or Pontiac Nats... Would be cool to get a bunch of us together... Dave and I will be signing autographs and make paid appearances... LMAO
I think the Panda and Regenesis might need an agent..???
Dave, It was a pleasure having you and the Panda over for the weekend. Max and Antonio were a great help and good to have on hand.
Sonata: We are out tuning, general crusiing etc and a Sonata decides to sit on Dave's left for 5 miles, egging him on to race. Three of us were laughing hysterically at the guy. Why would you think a GP doing 60mph is going to race?
Third gear: It can be selected and it will hold, only when he was super super gentle on the pedal. Soon as any throttle was applied it would slip like it was on ice. Makes one think the clutches are gone.
Ok, I'm tired.
Sonata guy was prob just jealy and suddenly realized just how limp his car is... Lolzzz
It was great to see the Panda in person this weekend. Unfortunately, I had to drive back to NYC on saturday morning to make it for my college class. Here are three pictures I took during the build.
Dave had just finished mooning Bill, unfortunately the picture was snapped too late!
FWIW I refused to help him take the hood off, until he took most of the bolts out and we didn't have a choice. There's no need to pull a hood off.
