Almost ready to drop in... I'll be buying my rack pump and lines in the next couple days and once that is done and I clean up what I can in the engine bay it will go back in.

Just tossed the header on for effect

I ended up just using a flywheel I had, I picked this one cause it had the least holes drilled for balancing. I figure I'll be doing something with the trans(5spd/built auto) soon enough and I'll do something then.

I plan on pulling the blower sometime soon to remove the H-bar and do some light porting/smoothing and I will for sure be doing something about the finish of it. Would really like to have it polished, maybe next Christmas...

I really wish I coulda but nobody I asked had a kit I could borrow, and I wasn't gonna pay nearly $200 for a new one. I've never really noticed anyone else do it on other builds either.

Yeah, I asked because I just realized no one does it.

    Yet everyone has differing results.

    Perhaps this is a factor.

Its fun talking to SBC guys, they're amazed I'm running 9 PSI on 9.4:1 CR with iron heads, hypereutectic pistons, cast rods and crank etc.

I've always wondered that myself why I don't think I've ever seen a 3800 build where someone degreed the cam... That's who I was asking was a few buddies into SBCs. They think I'm crazy "wasting time on a v6" I'll bet if anyone degrees their cams it would be Bill, maybe he will see this and enlighten us...lol

Well so far I'm making more power than mild 305 with 231 cubes.

I'd say thats one reason to bother.

    Next step, stout 350 territory.

Then I tell them my predicted HP goals for this thing and they start asking all kinds of questions and then when they run outta questions they kinda just agree... And I always ask if they have heated leather, moonroof, HUD and all the other perks of being a GP owner. Or are there any other perks???

    Thanks Dave

    More updates:

Decided after emailing a bit back and forth with the intense guys trying to verify these heads authenticity, that I need to double check spring #. So I pulled the cover and one spring to take to the local machine shop and have them measure it for me tomorrow. Weighed the retainer to verify it was titanium while I had it off and it's the lightest of the light titanium retainer apparently, which is great news cause I get's faster revs and less float! and here's the pics...

Installed a few more brackets and the starter

Anyone got a guess before I have them measured? The guy told me 150's, the S2 heads are supposed to come with 105's. But then again the S2 heads aren't supposed to have titanium retainers normally either.

    Proof

    Info on them

The cleanest I could get the stock 185K starter... I would know if it was replaced I got every receipt for everything from new from the original owners

I've seen 1.770" somewhere but the intense guy told me to measure them at 1.800" They recommend 130's for this cam so it wouldn't be too much overkill, and I got the double row(bout to post on that thread, read it). I am hoping he was just not remembering and they are 130's but I'm not gonna switch if they are 150
