DIAF-Die in a fire? And idk...when i heard it last time i saw it coming it it was loud as hell and i am almost positive cammed' something was loping. i mean his plate says URLOZN
That hood is 4th gen douchebaggery. Fast cars don't need it, so he sure as hell doesn't.
Guess ill give a lil update with what I've done and my plans. As far as i can recall, all I've done was replace a blower motor, rear o2 bung fell out and had to live a week with an annoying sounding car, and spent 45 mins getting soaked in gasoline trying to replaced my rusted out fuel filter.
my plans for spring/summer are: change trans fluid/filter n install transgo shift kit, oil tuneup, possible swap motor and trans mounts, catalytic converter for emissions, buy gaskets n crap for my vs cam as well as modded retainers and crow #105's. with my tax return, ill get new tires and save Whatever is left. Then hopefully by early summer, head down to Indy and have Paul install the cam and street tune my car, which will be a good 800$ ish bucks but worth it I think. In the mean time, enjoy some pics from the auto show {took too many, but got a customs shirt }
my girlfriend shirt..
hot wheels! One of like fifty different versions of a camaro at the Chicago auto show
Now take another pic of your girlfriend with that ford shirt pulled up too.
lmao i knew that was coming. How about i just go back to the show and creep on all the show girls modeling the cars :P
back on topic with my car: Paul at PRJ recommended a double timing chain with the VS cam with 105 springs. I thought double chain wasnt necessary and can be harmful on a cam such as the VS.
I'm running a stock one on my s1x when it goes in. Double seems like overkill
that's what I was thinking based off what I heard. can't wait to get that extra umph this summer i hope to get that done and fully detail my car before the end of june so i can park it in my works auto show when it comes around. Sooooo many swirl marks and such. Thinking about giving it a wash, buff, polish, and wax once the weather warms up for good.
Well I decided to do something about my gross nasty headlights. Went and bought a 3M Headlight Restoration kit and went to town. Should've taken more time on them, but I think they turned out very good (minus the interior filth thats inside them)

Not the best pictures, but they look better in person without all the glares and at different angles. I'd say its worth the 20$. So lately I've did my headlights, replaced fuel filter, fuel pump, and blower motor. Car is running good and sound and with the new pump, my car starts up first crank everytime opposed to long 3-7 cranks like it was when I got it. Future plans: Catalytic converter, manley retainers, 105# crow springs, new dampener and single chainset, and ZZP's cam install kit. Should have it cammed and PRJ tuned come summer time. I can't wait
Good job on the head lights, much better then hazy.
Well go figure my passenger light is getting condensation it in after i just restored them >:|
For an update, I just went to an exhaust shop that my work takes their vehicles to for exhaust work during lunch today. Great staff over there. Anyways, I had my cat installed and deleted my resonator and my god, my car feels so much better. When my TC locks it's easier to accelerate now without dropping my timing to around 16-18*, now my timing stays around 18-22* when accelerating on TC lock. And my exhaust sounds 129328103912031 times better, I'll have to get a clip. I think i found the right pair off mufflers because there is absolutely no drone at 60mph and no rasp at all. At idle and cruising it has a nice mellow tone that I still think is less audible than my friends stock GTP, but it has such a deeper tone still. And when I get on it or accelerate 2500-3000k rpms, it sounds nice and deep and doesn't sound farty anymore. Overall, I'm impressed, I'll have to get a new clip in when the weather warms up a little in the following week.
man i love those Daytona's... Beautiful car man! I hunted for one a couple years back, but came up empty handed. keep that one its a beauty.
