    I like SLP's.

I did the same thing you did though, but the paint will probably flake off after its heated and such a bunch of times. I'd recommend just sending them to Jethot.

Or they will look good once installed.

Ill take pictures for GPF while they look wonderful. Then after that, who cares what they look like.

As long as i got pictures for all fellow GPF members were good to go.

But in all honesty, it will kinda suck if they start to flake but hell, at least i good set headers. If they look good or bad, they will still work just fine and only benefit the car. I cant complain all to much as i didnt buy headers for looks only.

And for you Koscoe, i ain't mad. All this random thoughts in my thread only keeps it alive. I like keeping my thread active. Makes me feel special.

I wouldn't worry too much about it dan. If they do chip you can touch them up easily. Its flat black and they are headers, unless you keep it as a show car and only go to shows they don't have to be pretty, just functional. This is why I didn't care about the look when I bought mine used, they are rainbowed, but still look decent enough.

The only thing I have seen work for headers to keep them flawless besides powdercoating is full prep, sanding, using a good primer, some paint promoter, painting with engine enamel (whatever color you chose), and then using a clear enamel to protect them.

But even so, if it chips the fronts and the crossover are all you will really see, so those can be pulled, fixed and put back on in just a few hours.

This has been the funnest couple pages ive ever read...i sub'd to this thread now for my daily laughter...

On to other things, you said you need to have someone weld on an extra piece to the downpipe..so since there going to be welding are you gonna get your tips fixed??

But until then just drill holes in you tail lights to drain them and hang little cups off you exhaust tips to catch the water so it doesnt leak on the driveway
