my gtp had the same issue with the trans dipstick. its a ***** to change. good luck. i attempted to replace mine, but seems you need to remove the rear header to get it out and the new one installed.

Fixed up the car a little bit today.

Replaced the Spark Plugs this morning, the old ones look just fine:

I knew for sure my passenger side outer tie rod was bad, but I decided to replace both sides just for safe keeping, and good thing I did. Here's the old passenger side one:

New one in and grease up:

    Drivers side:

Did some craigslist hunting and found a full front bra to rock in the winter. Picked it up for $10.

I've also been doing some work on my old heads while I have free time. Let them soak in Dawn soap for a few days, then cleaned them with Mineral Spirits in a parts washer, then I've been using my dremel/drill with a wire wheel and shining them up. After that, I'll Magnaflux them and if no cracks and I'll port them and sell. Even though the pictures show only one clean, both of them are clean now.

Only suggestion with the brah is to remove it every so often to clean under it and clean the brah itself. Don't want no rocks or dirt staying against the paint for too long.

I'll definitely do that. I have no idea how to install this thing though.

Brandon gave me his old SSC lowering springs, in return for installing his new struts. The rears are still at his house, as I can get them whenever I feel. I will be buying new KYB GR2 struts and have them installed by next summer, since winter is right around the corner. (Sorry for the upside picture).

Also, I've saved up a couple hundred dollars so far for new Saleen rims and tires.

I will be needing new brakes in the near future, most likely after winter as well, and now would be the time to upgrade, which I feel is needed since I will continue to mod this car. Will be replacing the front stocks with F-Body brakes. Been keeping an eye on local Junkyards for 98-02 Camaro's and Trans Am's. Nothing for awhile here, so I will most likely be purchasing parts off eBay or Rockauto. Found these calipers on RockAuto, can have both Re-Manufactured calipers (Red Powdercoated) for $130 shipped. Only concern, they aren't OEM. They look different, so not sure if it will cause the fitment to be off?

Ones on RockAuto I'd like to purchase:

    http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...288&cc=1379976

    OEM:

Then from there, I will be purchasing PowerStop Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors with Ceramic Pads for the front F-bodys and Rear stock, from RockAuto as well.

    http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...669&cc=1379976

    http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...884&cc=1256015

And to finish the deal, I'd like front Stainless Steel Brake Lines. All that should probably suffice my stopping abilities. Will start collecting parts soon, as this needs to be done before lowering the car.

    I do not want Impala's. I only want F-Body.

These red calipers I posted were under the category 2002 Camaro 5.7L in RockAuto, so I don't see why they would have Impala's listed.

those dont look to be aluminum like a f body, looks like cast. see what the shipping weight is. f bodys are light, maybe a pound or so each.`

How can you tell if they are aluminum or cast iron? They are powder coated red. Lol

Shipping was like $8.50 for the pair.

I'd probably go through the entire checkout process.

It should give you an estimated weight...especially if you mess around with the shipping speed.

    after clicking the link lol

NOTE: THIS IS AN ALUMINUM CALIPER
To avoid damage that could void your warranty, thread banjo bolts and bleeder screws in by hand then torque to manufacturer specs. Torque specs noted on tag included with caliper.

just aftermarket, no fins cut into it.

    Like I said, F-Body brakes

Was just wondering, since they look different from OEM style calipers (Pictures I posted above) would these still fit just fine, just look different? Because I'd obviously pay for red powdered coated ones.

Should work fine, if they're made to bolt into an FBody they'll bolt in same as any other fbody calipers
