if it looks like a base model, smells like a base model, goes slow like a base model....

For those who said it was a base are correct... contacted customer service at pontiac and after putting the vin number in it did come up as gt but the vin code eigth digit was 2 (meaning base). Now they are contacting the dealer i bought it from to see if they can re compensate for the unique issue... i'll find out more tuesday
ya the easiest way to tell on the 07 is exhaust. base models will only have the 1 exhaust tip like yours. GT's an GXP's will have the dual exhaust.
Win for us
yes win for you guys! Still waiting back from this Pontiac **** ( got to the district level through affairs) and i have a lawyer meeting on Thursday to see what can all happen. Can't wait to get this **** done with so i can start modding.
Once i find out I'm doing:
Cold air intake
Windows tinted (35% all around)
Rear vinyl inlays
Tinting tail lights
Make your own intake
unless you buy an new rear bumper there is only 1 cutout for the exhaust
It is not the whole bumper, it is a valence piece that pops up into the bumper itself. It is roughly 80 bucks for the dual cutout. Take out 4 body clips, pull it out of the bumper, and reverse steps.
OK, here is the deal. The dealership called me back and are finally starting to cooperate. They told me to send them an email of what makes a 2007 GT a GT. I know for a fact that in 2007, GTs did INDEED come with a supercharged engine. I need more help, maybe those with 2007 GTs could help me and let me know what sort of options are in your car.
So far I have:
Supercharged Engine (L32)
Dual exhuast? (have yet to find a 2007 GT that doesn't have it)
GT emblem on back of car
5 button DIC
Buttons on steering wheel
Chrome trim around the air vents
Fog lights
there a ****ing dealer....they should be able to tell you this. and if they cant you need to find one who can..thats willing to school them
Nope, not end of story. It IS a base, they sold it as a GT. It's fraud, I have my lawyer involved and everything. Like I said, they (as in the dealership) want me to email them what makes a GT a GT, they want to make it a GT..I am not sure yet if it would be a trade, or I am asking they give me compensation back. It isn't about just convincing them anymore. I am trying to ask for help for a GT, I am serious about this.
I didn't know they made any without ABS. Mine doesn't have it either but that's only because it's broken
Well it works like 70% of the time.
why dont they just get you a gt..itd be cheaper and better all around
He is still in the process of getting this resolved. He JUST got a phone call today from the dealership, and they said to e-mail them what makes a GT a GT and THAT is what we are going to do for now. It is all we can do for now. YES it would be easier to trade it for a GT for everyone, but we don't know IF they are willing to do that. This isn't settled just yet guys.
We are asking for help so we have ALL the information possible to bring to court (depending how they handle it after the GT information is sent to them too). Who knows, after they realize the amount of money and work it would be to MAKE it a GT they should realize they would be better off trading it for a GT.
So far I found a bunch of info already after doing research. He is also in contact with Pontiac.
