Looks perfect man! To many and it starts to look rice-ish. Just highlighting the major mods is a great idea.

Thats a good idea, but i think it could use better execution. the lights are too focused.
Thanks that's what I was wanting and didnt want to overkill.
Elaborate on the focused part? Goal was to only highlight the major modifications.
I plan on adding videos but the lights will only be on during night shows. And any videos I add will be waxing some ass racing.
Have a few lined up:
Del Sol Jspec, blah blah blah
Shelby(80's dodge hatch)
TT Supra
modded GTO
I'm actually hitting up Northstar Dragway on the 26th of August to get some baseline passes.
sound like tough races. by focused, I meant like it was all shinging on one area of the intercooler, instead of being even throughout.
Ah I know what you mean. Last night when I turned them on I thought the same thing. I might end up just doing 2 strips of LEDs under the bumper that way the whole unit lights up and not just the center section.
The only race I know for sure I will win is the one against the Del Sol. The others will make for an entertaining match. The Shelby race will be nuts as my friend will be upping his boost to 30 PSI. He is fabricating his own fuel system with various buttons for each boost. It's actually pretty trick.
Wow. and dont count out that honda, unless its just a stock JDM motor.
I helped my buddy put in the JDM engine and then another friend of ours rewired the harness to match it for US. Took him about 8 hours and was a major PITA. Its running rich and needs a tune bad. He hasn't done anything other than the swap and HAI. I went with him to the dragstrip and the best he could do was 11.0(1/8th) so I'm not too worried. LOL
Lol i retract my previous statement.
Decided not to add the turbo badging on the door. When I placed them there to look at they stood out of place with how large the door is since the badging is small. Decided to place one on the truck. Probably the best place for it due to the size:

remember the 04 gto had the LS-1 350 hp an if its a 05-06 its pushin the LS-2 400 hp corvette motor might show your turbo gp whats up. they have some were i live an the stock one's are fast as hell not to metion the modded one's makin over 500 hp.
The GTO is putting down well into the 400-500hp range. Yes "it will show up the GP", but the race is for fun.
I think alot of guys get caught up in having to win every race which ruins the hobby. There will always be someone faster, but what fun is it sitting around playing hp numbers. Is it a waste of gas? Probably, but it will be one hell of a good time regardless.
I love this car. Only thing I would change is the hood.
Good work, and good thread with a lot of detail and pictures.
We need a sticky for that.
LOL, thanks and you can have the car back when you hand over $$,$$$.
Thanks, I actually like the GTX hood a little better myself. I was originally going to do that hood on my old 98 GTP coupe, but traded it for a Vette instead.
I love build threads and love to see detailed pictures in them. Makes a member car thread a 100x better and brigs it more to life.
