Hmmmmm..............not sure...
I almost peeled it off right after I put it on. It had a bunch of bubbles that I didnt think would cure, but they did. It has grown on me a bit and I get a lot of positive comments from strangers on the street. The camera doesnt really do it justice, at certain angles you can tell its there. When I get sick of strangers walking up to me or get sick of the look......Peeeeeeel
where do I get the products to make my gauges illuminate like this?
and where did you get your guages man id love to know !
The actual gauges on the left....2 are from glowshift and the areoforce I got from zzp. The gauge cluster is just an overlay that I got off ebay 5 yrs ago.
id rather see u paint the rails white but eh, it looks good. now get black 19's
Found this at the pick and pull today. Cost $25 for the dash piece, HUD display unit and the controller (not pictured). I've read threads that say 03's are not prewired for the HUD...but thats not the case. Im totally prewired and the next weekend that I take off of work.... I just have to cut open my dash and mount the display unit. I know the windshield is different between cars with HUD and without it, so if the display does not reflect well, the car I removed this from was totaled due to a rear end collision. The windshield is in perfect condition and they only want $50 for it.
HUD was such a good idea on these cars. Good luck on this, hope the windshield works out
If I cant see it in my windshield, I'll just take the windshield out of the car that I found this in. I might do it anyway, cause mine has a little crack in it and it drives me nuts.
Honestly when i cracked my windshield i put a regular one in. I noticed no difference.
I still don't get why they didn't put HUD in Monte Carlos. ::Sigh::
Are you talking about the roof? If so, I was going to. I ordered gloss vinyl and matte vinyl. When I put the matte up there it didnt look right with the window frames and rails being glossy. That and the glossy sunroof broke the matte up. I didnt really want to vinyl over the sunroof.
I for one like the black roof mod.
I have 1080 3M scotchprint ready to go to match my hood, but it went cold again so hafta wait... you said it was a PITA, and I agree... even the hood was a mofo (for one guy on his own)... I nearly did the same thing and peeled it off the next day... thankfully I didnt... LOL A couple days later I went over it again with a small pin and the heat gun and got rid of all the bubbles that were left over... worked well!
Im not looking forward to the roof though... Onstar antenna and sunroof are gunna be a pain to deal with while wrapping....
I was really hoping it'd be glossier :/ Maybe it's the selection of film. I was thinking of doing this but am now deliberating with myself on whether to do it or not.
Well, finally got tired of my illegal car. Got an EGR unit from Drew (Irscgod), and I gotta say, If he's selling something you want.....get it. I wasnt expecting this thing till sometime next week. This thing showed up in a day!
Anywho, I figured since I was yanking shÃ*t apart to install the EGR, I'd go ahead and clean the throttle body. But once I got to it, I was shocked at how clean it was. I haven't cleaned it in the 6 years that I've owned the car.
The block off plates and the holes they left behind
And the EGR on. I realize that Im going backwards here.....but I need it so I can get it inspected then the fugger is coming off until next years inspection. I know that the EGR delete mod is basically to keep the system from carboning up...but I've notice a pretty big power loss. If I gun it at 30mph, my tires dont spin anymore. And its not a vac leak because Im still at -16.5 in/hg. No biggie though, EGR delete will return after I get the inspection sticker.
FINALLY!! Fvcking A! All my monitors are ready, so tomorrow it gets inspected. Then this weekend, the EGR system goes back in the box till next year!
