Reskinning the drivers side, this was the soaked one.
I skinned it, let it dry out, sprayed with a 3-1 bleach solution, let dry, some fabreeze and guess what, more drying LOL
let it begin!
On the cover there are these "clips" interlocking, gotta roll em together, hard to explain once you do it it makes all the sense.
Opened up
Closed up
then some carefully placed karate chops to press the skin back into the velcro
Back done
just wiping down the bottom part to get it cleaner, will be harder to do once on the seat bottom.
honeslty, watch some of these videos, in particular the 2nd last one about steaming, and then the ones about removal.

its truck seats, but the concepts are identical, i left the frame on becuae i couldnt figure it out lol
More woring...
Ok so seat bottom is back on
process:
pushed it into the velcro
the front "rolls in" hard to explain, that video link helps explain it.
rest just clips on
this seam has to be rolled and pressed in to give it a clean edge
back clips as well
then theres the headrest parts, i forgot this part.
to get them off in order to remove the skin you have to first remove the headrest (use a small allen key in the hole to press in)
that gets it out
to get the plugs out you need to first start to skinn the back, once it gets to the top, you use your fingers to press in the "V" and push/pull up.
to put them back, just press em in.
looks good man!!! your definitely gonna have to come by when the new car gets delivered on the 13th
*sigh* guess i'll add leather seats to my future mod list....seeming how you made this look so easy
Looking good n cleaning up well! Them clips are like a tonneau cover sort of, are they in yet?! Picture whoring ill be expecting lol
if you dont have a rug shampooer, you can rent a steam cleaner from most super markets. at least here in the states you can. they work real nice.
just make sure it has a hand held deal, or a shorter shaft, as they dont always fit so well inside the car. last time i did it, i took the carpet out of the car.
truth is, take the console out and the door sill trim off, and the carpet is out. hardest part is lifting it over the shiftier. and its not that hard.
I think I'll leave the carpet in. It's not that dirty. Needs a good vacuuming and some spot cleaning. I've got one of those carpet cleaners with a want. Might use it.
Seats looking real good. Wish I had 04+ seats.
Ok, so drivers seat has been cleaned and conditioned. thanks to my lovely and talented wife!
(all seats will get another conditioning after install)
Only damage i can see to the seats:
Doesnt actually cut.. just a deep crease....
the usual wear spot:
Front, the plastic controls cover i think covers most of this
