a top swapped VS will be a nice setup. you could easily slap some 1.7s on it later for a little extra lift too.

Should be able to get away with that 3.4" if we hog out the heads too...do you want me to check with my guy for just a port job Clint?
Meh...I didn't have the bowls polished. It'll be a good time to get new seals/locks/guides since your in there anyways and he can assemble the heads for you too if you want.
I'll call him tonight though.
Nice 2 see someone else has the same gold as me. I'm definitely gettin gt body moldings 4 mine now that i know how it will look.Thnx 4 tha pics, looks real sharp.
Well scratch the VS cam I guess. I was awaiting a reply from the seller to send the money and he emailed me today saying it was sold. Not too happy seeing how I was waiting on him to see what all he had in an install kit that was to go with it, instead he sells it out from under me. Just my luck.
Guess we just have to put a bigger cam in it, that's all.
Never been a big fan of gold, but yours looks pretty nice.
Been slowly gathering parts
Arp headstuds, mainstuds, Manley retainers, comp valve locks, viton valve stem seals, comp rocker bolts, crow 105# valve springs, new chain and tensioner, and just about every gasket known to man. I need the s1x, and it'll be time to dig in.
Oh.
Yay.
SHAzam!
Almost two months later....
Got tired of looking at it in the driveway accumulating bird crap. Decided to get it prepped for pulling.
Exhaust and poo off
Pulled plugs and found this on cylinder 3
End of day one
Well I did as much as about I felt comfortable doing since this was my first time ever pulling a motor. So I recruited the Jew (bluegtp91). Nick decided to recruit another fellow gper Kevin (justav6) for even more help. I'm so glad Missouri has a rather large grand prix following and that are always willing to help. I appreciate it so much.
Nick always finds time for photo ops
Me being an idiot
Kevin. Looks like he might be listening to Nick... Probably rambling lol.
Nick...
Jackin it up
Out! And end of day two
Got home around 11:30 pm tonight and decided to wrench on the motor for 30 mins or so. I wanted to pull the front head off to see the extent of the damage on cyl 3.
Yay chipped piston
