small update, since it's too cold out in the garage to be wrenching on it i made a heat shield for the hot side of the turbo

DIY stainless heat shield, cost a total of $19, we'll see how well or how long this holds up, eventually i'll throw a blanket on there

you'll never guess what i made it out of

yes! similar shields sell for $80-100 so i figured wtf? $20 for a stainless cooking pot, it's worth a shot i just need something there to keep the heat from melting my fiberglass hood

INTAKE MANIFOLD OFF!!! wow only took me all ****ing day, but the worst is OVER! got it off and installed the new injectors, ripped the cover off and reinstalled, my hands are all cut up and bruised, i have a terrible headache and im starving! but it's done!!

i hope i never have to remove the intake manifold again.. i'd rather pull the engine

next up install the manifold/turbo and all that good ****, i'm waiting on new gaskets, after that the intercooler and piping

Plastic intake for boost? Think that will hold up well???

*Excuse the ignorant statement, I know its not just "plastic" but I'm use to aluminum intakes for boosted cars*

Looks great tho, cant wait... keep going

itll work just fine. the gaskets would blow out before you'd 'splode the intake manifold.

welp she's pretty much done.. waiting for spring time so i get it out and get tuned.

ran the oil feed/return lines last weekend.. had to drill and tap the oil pan with the oil still in it, no way in hell i was gonna attempt to drop it, would have required either dropping the trans or dropping the steering rack, screw all that

sorry for the cell pic.. point n shoot cam is dead

    oil filter adapter plate ftw!

finished up the last little bit today which was the PCV system

gauge pod.. wide band A/F, boost, and oil pressure
