Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
well i'm getting a little closer now, i did a CASE relearn and i flashed the PCM with a tune for the 60lb injectors and no boost and got it start and idle fine, but theres still stumbles and fluctuations in the RPMs.. if it comes down to it i'm gonna put the engine back to stock, no turbo, stock injectors and stock air box, and load up a completely stock tune as well, and see if it still runs weird.. if thats the case, then i might just have to take it to a shop and have them figure it out, i've done all i can do pretty much

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
Take them injectors out and put the stock ones back in maybe? Or take those 60's and make a little tester... I use a 2' long end of an air hose I cut then take the o ring off the top of the injector, stick it in the air hose(fits good in the standard 3/8's) put a little clamp on it, then fill the hose with your choice of cleaner... I like carb cleaner or maybe some b12 chemtool then hook your air hose from the compressor up and then use something like a battery charger to give the injector 12 volts so it will open and fire all that cleaner through it and watch the spray pattern for incosistancies also. I can't think of anything else, sounds like everything has been checked minus injector flow. And don't be afraid to flick that 12v on and off the injector either they are meant to fire like that...

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
if you find a little bit of time, you could vacuum test to check for intake flow or possibly a cracked valve spring. it does still sound electrical, so check your injectors. how reputable is your tuner?

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
Post up a scan and we can look it over.

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
who's got HPTuners? i have log files if any of you wanna look at them, hell i'll upload the tune as well

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
got the b*tch running decently, changed a few things around in the injector tables, flow rate vs. KPA, the way it was, it was running stupid lean.. so hopefully it's good enough to drive an hour to the dyno and get it tuned for real

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
I don't like many trucks, but I like yours. GL with the tuning issues, and I look forward to some impressive numbers.

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
very nice. is it finally running right?

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
running N/A at the moment.. need to call my tuner and get her on the dyno

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
so what ended up being the problem?
-
Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
you should lower it more. ;)

injector tables were way out of whack.. i don't know if the PCM was trying to relearn fuel trims or something after the engine swap, or if i somehow flashed the wrong tune :th_nervous:

my coil overs have room to go down more but it already rubs like hell up front as it is, GM didn't build these like the S10 where you could tuck the wheel in the fender without a problem, to static slam a colorado you have to tub the front.. if i'm gonna tub it i might as well bag it :th_laugh-lol3:

Re: My 04 turbo colorado (build, destroy and rebuild thread)
that sounds like a great plan. do it.

got a little something in the mail today, hoping it'll eliminate the turbo flutter at part throttle.. still gotta get this ****er tuned, been laid up with some health issues though :(
