Took a look at the SE wheels last night, couple have a little curb rash from po. Tires look new, one has a screw in it, will probably have that taken care of whether I keep them or not.

Still unsure if I want to hang onto them. Garage space is limited..

This is the worst scuffing, also the one with the screw..





Rest look pretty clean.











Noticed a noise in the driver front when turning left on the way to work this morning, gonna check that out later.

C0245 and C0035 -left front speed sensor.
I know 245 could be the ABS module itself, anyone know if the bad speed sensor could throw both codes or should I just anticipate repairing the module as well?

Probably do some other suspension work on the front while we're in there; sway links, control arms, tie rods, etc...

Thanks! Yeah, the mounts are trashed I'm sure. A lot of movement in the engine bay rn. Hopefully, we can get all that put on this weekend.

Regal is my other half's project, so I will let him post about it if/when he wants to. 2002 GS we picked up late December, 114k miles. It was in the garage for the last 6 months being fixed up and cleaned; it's really good to see it out of the garage!

Welp, cooked my trans fluid last week, got up to 238 degrees. That was just driving normal to and from town. Texas..

She's parked for fluid/filter change and a transgo kit.

Will give us time to get the rest of the new parts on her- now if it would just stop being 130 in the garage..

Anyone know how to get rid of a musty vent odor? Already changed the cabin air filter; only notice it for about the 1st minute, but I would like it gone.

Got to the wheel hub, looks like the PO replaced it at some point, but must not have torqued it to spec.. One of the 3 bolts was backed out and rubbing against the CV boot. Didn't tear it, but you can see where it was hitting (circled). The joys of buying used.

New vs old. Can't wait to feel the difference!



Both kids like to watch Dad work. I wish I could get in there more often with him, mostly I end up just watching the kids these days. hah

youre probably already done but some tips:
get the front end as high as you can to help that larger front bar go in easier.
think about putting it in with the V notch downward (upside down) to clear your future downpipe upgrade
start the bracket bolts by hand, they cross thread easy and there's not a lot of room in there.

Thanks! Yeah, the sway bar is in - dropped the cradle, did motor and trans mounts at the same time so made it pretty easy to get in this time. We learned on our last gp that it can be a pain to fit in there. hah

I didn't think about the down pipe, though, I doubt I will be changing that anytime soon. Noted for later!

Came home to this present by the door yesterday! Only took 3 months to get here. It is going on the Regal pictured below, not the gp.

Finally, all parts and transgo installed.

Found the fuse puller and missing nut for the fuse box, they got caught on the plastic guard when they were dropped. I dropped the puller when I was trying to figure out why my headlights went out (wire harness issue above) and PO had a different nut on the fuse box, but it didn't fit right. The puller was down there for 1000 miles, I have no idea how long the nut was down there hanging out.

Drove her to work this morning, can definitely feel a difference with the bigger sway bar. ABS codes and the awful feeling in the driver wheel when turning -probably due to that backed out bolt on the hub - is gone. No more clunking from bad motor mounts.. I am overall pleased with the results. Shout out to my other half for doing all the hard work!



Coming up - brake upgrades, lim gaskets, and game of find the squeaky pulley!

Trans temps still not where I'd like, trans cooler to come sooner than planned. Also noticed my engine temp was half way above the last hash before red. We were planning a coolant flush anyway, so went ahead and did it tonight. This is what the coolant looked like.. not sure what happened here, but definitely not the color I expected to see.
