Picked up this Turbo Prix back on October 13th, 2018. Got it from a member on here, Corey, aka (itHurtz). The car is fun as fukk and fast as hell. It's hands down, the fastest car I've ever been in. I wasn't planning on buying a second Grand Prix. But the maroon GTP I spent 2 years rebuilding gave up the ghost at 253,000 miles. So, the Turbo Prix became mine. Passed on from one Grand Prix Junkie to another. With the weather turning nice I'm going to start working on this thing. I wanted to get a thread going to document everything. The car has a list of small things that need attention. It came with new rear struts that need installing, and red powder coated rear calipers that need to go in. Those 2 things will be first. Some pics of my baby blue are below. List of mods includes the following:

Modified clutch stacks (for QUICK shifts) and a trans-go kit for sure. I want to say it also got a bonded separator plate and torlon balls. Can't remember though. Can we get some video of this thing making highway pulls now?

I had to look up all that, what you wrote. That's awesome. When talking about the car I always talk about how it was hand built in AZ!!, and freighted back to Chicago. Built by this guy Brandon Hall....blah blah blah. Basically, it's special and custom.

Track time coming soon. Great Lakes Dragway has a free season opener coming up March 29 to April 11. Hoping to make it. Highways pulls coming up too.
and Tuning! Yes. Needs to happen. Gonna have to meet with Corey about that still.
First though, the coldside intercooler pipe, going to the turbo tore at the box. I was inspecting fog light wiring and noticed the crack. This needs to get welded before any pulls.

Oh ya, the couplings you should have put a screw driver inbetween to break the seal, and the clamp bolts were 10mm and 11mm mixed up (not my doing)
I hope the welder makes those tabs more stout, cartuning didnt think decades of use imo.

The IC is with the welder now. Had my wife drop it off so I created a card-board mock up of how I want the tabs to look. I numbered the spots so that when I called we would be on the same page when I explained how I wanted things done. The radiator support is a little rotted and shouldn't be holding up any of the IC's weight. The original side mounting tabs on this IC were up against some of that rusted metal, so the side tabs are useless now. The metal bumper is in pretty good shape and it will be holding the full weight of the IC. I added a bracket down the middle of the IC to have a third mounting tab. And then 2 tabs/arms on the bottom to connect to the rad support, but only for stability, and not bearing any weight. Then the pipe that split needs to be fixed. That split really started this entire project. They will cut into that chimney are redo that entire exit hole and weld in fresh pipe.
Cost will be approx. $200 for this work.
First wad of cash. For this car. Has been dropped! haha
I snapped this ugly photo of the cardboard mock-up in the morning before running to work.
