Got the cam shaft sensor machined down. 100+ miles now and no code! Thanks (James) @Turbocharged400sbc! It sits deeper for sure now, a good 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch. Did an oil change too. It was running so rich, those cylinder walls were bathing in gasoline. So had to change it. Running the 10,000 mile Mobile 1 oil filter, so didn't change filter. Then tried tackling the fog lights. But the wires leading to them were just garbage inside. Cut back like 3-4 inches and still black and crumbling. They were weird looking. Apparently they didn't hold up very well under the front/bottom of the car. Go figure :| Next project is to fix the wiring on those.I hate to jinx it, but it must be said: I currently have a leak free, code free, Turbo Grand Prix! Might be the only one in the country meeting those 3 criteria! HAHA
Time to update. Been a while. Did a bunch of cosmetic work to the GTPT. Cleaned up an ugly rust spot. Door sides got done, and some other stuff. Cleaned up the rear brakes and put in new rotors. Old ones were toast. I finally got around to putting the GPO's in with metal mesh top and bottom. I attached metal a cable to the GPO's, fearing they might fall out while driving, or get stolen. The cable ends are screwed in. Projector headlights are working again. Had to redo some of the wiring. The relay was melted. Replaced the inline fuse. So much more solid now. Replaced the GlowShift temp and pressure sensors and replaced the wiring. Painted in the tire lettering. Looked cool. But didn't last long.
Fast forward to today. Engine has been out for a couple months now.... Link to gasket questions below:
