Welp... that didn't last long. Enjoyed the car for 5 days and back to having problems. I drove it last night, did some small pulls, made some turbo noises, and all the sudden car starts running like ****! I can hear the exhaust isn't right, running rough, wanting to die at red light, then surging, then wanting to die, then surging. When letting foot off gas pedal the engine stays at 1200-1500 RPM's, instead of settling to 900. GOD DAMN IT. Can't catch a break with this ****ing thing.
I'm thinking I have a huge vac leak somewhere. Most likely the brake booster, it's been suspect for a while now. That would explain the surging and RPM's not dropping.

Suck man sorry its going rough.
Are you going to buy new or keep pilfering parts from your other car?
Look at the bright side. About 1000 more issues and you'll have a new old car!

Hahaha. 999 more now. I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop with this car. Whenever anything goes wrong I'm always thinking the worst. I don't wanna pilfer anymore from the maroon GTP. I want that thing back on the road.So far it has donated to the Turbo a handful of bulbs, Fuel Pump, Rack and Pinion, Battery, TPS, IAC, both Headlights, all 4 tires, and maybe a couple other things. Kinda a lot, those are some important and expensive pieces.
...24hrs later...
Checked vacuum hoses, sensor connections, removed MAF, pulled front plugs. It ran better with MAF removed. Front plugs looked good. When hunched over doings spark plus, I notice this big ass hole in the throttle body. It's the vacuum tube going to the BOV when it had an M90 still. It was capped with a rubber nipple. The head of that nipple must of dry rotted and blew off during a turbo pull. LOL. Capped the hole with new pointy nipple.
All is well now. She's back up and running good. MakeAme soo Happy. At the same time I'm thinking.... Man I hate this car. Blown of nipple.... F YOU!!

I can't believe my luck today. Landed a practically new Dell laptop, running XP!!
Doesn't sound impressive, but this is significant. I needed a dedicated XP machine for tuning. I have the DHP/AVT box, and all cables. I procured all the software last Friday, 10/18. All I needed was to get the software running. All three laptops at home run Windows 10. Despite available hacks and tricks to make DHP PowrTuner work on W10, I really just wanted an XP machine and zero headaches. Craigslist had slim pickings. Yesterday, one of the building managers swings by my desk, and hands me a Dell laptop. He tells me the construction crews found it behind furniture while renovating one of our floors. I work in I.T., so the laptop finds itself in my hands for wiping and disposal. Welp! It's a 2007 Dell D620 running XP. Hott Damnn. It has an Asset Tag, but it doesn't show on any of our systems. Talked to the Boss man, he said it's all mine. Haha. Awesome. Best part is, the laptop was used only as a way of accessing the virtual PC (cloud) through a remote connection. This thing never had a document saved locally in its life. Never had any questionable software installed or questionable websites visited. It is completely, 100%, unmolested! Last time this laptop was logged into was January, 2008.
Ready to start tuning this Beast.

Now that's a score right there. I still have my old work HP running XP. Refused to give it up when I was forced into a new one with W10. So I took it home.
Nice BM24 there in the left corner. Let me guess, a 9630 IP phone is connected to it, lol... Sorry, I'm an Avaya tech by day.

Dorks, lol. Man, I remember the days trying to get a printer driver installed in XP. If I could have all the hours I spent trying to get crap to work in XP, I could live another life! Looking forward to this build, man. Good luck!

thats a score for sure.
ive got dhp working on win 7. also had it working on vista. and win 2000.
i forgot to mention. one of them folders is a database, you need to unzip it, then drop it inside the dhp folder. then tell dhp to use the data base. top left drop down menus.
same for tiny tuner if you want to use that. has a data base, you need to tell tt to use it.

People still need that XP. Hold on to it! You could probably make a buck nowadays selling good XP machines. And Yeah, LOL, it's a BM24 connected to Avaya 9611.

I would! And want to. Even with those brighter bulbs you can't see shyyt. But I'm still dealing with that voltage drop issue when hitting the brakes. Sometimes when the blinkers are ON, and I hit the brakes, the blinker will hyper-flash cuz the system thinks the bulb is out. I'm guessing the drain is causing this. I'm still thinking it's the brake booster at fault here. I will be sending the turbo to Bison Performance real soon, for a rebuild. When it's off, I plan of replacing the brake booster. And replace the engine mount....
But until that voltage issue is resolved, I'm not putting the HID's back in. They weren't liking that drop at all.
