Ignition switch swapped. No change in any of the symptoms. God damn it! DIC still goes out, aeroforce still goes out...and most importantly car still stalls when not under throttle. Arghh. Next we have these remedies to try: scrub under carpet grounds, swap alternator. After that it's going to a shop. Gonna pay someone to figure it out. Fukk it. I can't have 2 dead GPs in my driveway. Adding to the misery, the backlight for the boost gauge went out as well.

Time for an update. Blue Turbo hasn't ran since June 12th. It will not start, no matter what. I have been visiting family in Poland and just getting back now so didn't mess with it too much. It has no codes, no nothing. Just cranks, and cranks and sputters for 1sec. and nothing. Dies. Fuel pump primes. No security light, etc, etc. Now, I have 2 dead GP's in my drive way. Sucks. Before I left I replaced the crank sensor. Didn't help with nothing.

I'm thinking to put engine/Trans in maroon GTP, and scrap the shell of blue car. The body and rust situation is much worse on blue car, so it would be the one to go. Plus I need 4 doors. I really just want a car that runs! , these damn GP's.

Only have 1 photo of the sensor removal for some reason, although I know I took more....

Ehhh. He might of. This was his best gal. But that was originally the plan anyway. To do the swap... or maybe twin charge the red grocery getter. He's prolly more salty that I called it rusty.

But you're right. ICM swap is in order. I can do that, swap even the coils and the harness since it's all off the red car in 1 piece really. List is growing

    1. ICM swap
    2. Check fuel pressure at rail
    3. MAP sensor disconnect

Anyone got anything else to add?

I had a bad ICM on my 2000 years ago and would act similar. No codes and crank all day long.

    Well, it started. Kinda.

I was hoping it was the ICM. Did some diagnosing last night with ithurtz on the phone. ICM swap didn't help this time. We decided to spray some starter fluid. I took the MAF off completely and had my son spray starter fluid in there, into the TB, while I cranked. It started! And stayed running longer than any other time.

Looks like a fuel pump swap is next. Good thing I got all these spare parts! Pump from red car going in this weekend.

Interesting thing is, the pump primes, and the valve at the rail sprays strong after cranking... not sure on actual PSI number, but strong. Despite that, I clearly have a fueling issue.

Got her running. It was the fuel pump.

Swapped in pump from red car and she fired right up! What a relief!

Now a midnight wash... All spiders be gone!

It is good news. Thanks guys. Put about 125 miles on her since Monday, and she's running good. That pump was faulty. Remember how I was complaining about how the Aeroforce and DIC would reset/turn off on their own? That would happen all the time, like 20 times in a 15min car ride. But now, with that bad fuel pump gone, both DIC and Aero have been working flawlessly! Weird how it all might be somehow connected. Another plus is that the RPM's don't surge and fall when starting it up. They would do that and then stabilize. Now it starts up fast as ****, and pegs at 900 RPM's immediately.

AND, most importantly, it does not want to stall when coming to a stop. That electrical gremlin that I feared, turned out to be the fuel pump. I wonder if that's also the reason for the problems with retrofit HIDs. I'm eager to get those back in. It's INCREDIBLE how ****ty the headlights are on Grand Prix's. Needs HIDs back, ASAP.

Fuel pump re-wire went in yesterday. Car already had the Caspers in place, but not wired up becuase it requires an all stock harness to work. The harness the car has now, like most, was hacked for an aftermarket fuel pump. I went ahead and spent the coin on a RaceTronix rewire kit and installed that. Hardest part was un-clipping the wire connectors with the Exacto. Routing it under the car took some time as well. I ended up tucking the wire/loom into the plastic ground effects along the passenger side, and using zip ties. Worked out great.

    Only took a few photos:
