Sorry for making a new thread. Can't seem to edit the one I made a year ago from the old site.

I own a pre-production 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Competition Group manufactured in December 2002. I picked it up for $5500 CAD a little over a year ago with just 107,000km/66,000mi on it.

    Then:

    Now:

    Mods/Addons:
    - ZZP Front Powerlog
    - ZZP 3" Catted Downpipe
    - Autolite 605's
    - 180 Thermostat
    - INTENSE PCM
    - EGR Delete
    - Spectre Open Cone
    - TransGo Shift Kit
    - ZZP Poly Upper Bushings & Mounts
    - GMPP 34mm Sway Bar
    - Anti Pogo Washers
    - Front and Rear Strut Braces
    - 07 SE Front and Rear Valance
    - Being Installed Soon: ZZP Stage 2 Intercooler

    Just finished machining my LIM:

Painted my rims (because the clearcoat was damaged):

    Pre Production Engine Cover:

Mounted an Aeroforce Interceptor into a vent ball:

She's needed a hell of a lot of maintenance in the past year due to lack of it from previous owners (15 year old spark plugs were fun to remove ), after a lot of work it's finally starting to come together and run just right though.
Started doing body touch ups this month, I discovered this car doesn't use the WA8554 white like most 04's, it appears to be some custom color from the factory, as the color code on the parts sticker is blank. I applied WA8554 on two small spots and it is significantly more yellowish than my original color.

it's funny how most don't know they preproducted some Comp G's. A mechanic buddy called me and said he had an 03 car that the SC gasket wouldn't fit. Kept getting the wrong one when the parts place delivered. I was nearby and stopped in. It was a 1/03 car which would be a 2003 and was a comp G. Told him to order the 04 gasket and all was well.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Damn I never even thought how much that could confuse mechanics like that

It took me a pretty long time to connect the dots on what was up with mine. I had researched so much about the CompG's before picking this one up, and it seemed that nothing lined up with what I had read. No heated seats, no leather, no Monsoon, red cover, silver calipers, all different badges, holes installed for a strut brace which were then patched up very thoroughly (yet zero evidence of any other mods, was wondering why someone would do a strut brace yet no other mods).

Then a couple days after this forum shut down last year, I found ClubGP's thread on pre-productions and then it made sense.
