I figured right here would be an excellent place to chronologize the nonsense about to take place....and I figured more than one of you will appreciate the insanity!
So the back story:
I found an add on craigslist last week for a 2000 Monte Carlo SS for 500 dollars.....that was it....no pictures, no description....just a title and a phone number. I called the dude up, scheduled an appointment to see the car and ended up driving away with it for 100 dollars with a clean title at 10:00 at night lol. Here are a few pics from when I got it back to the shop...
Aside from a slight skip, needing brakes all around and essentially being an ashtray on wheels it was overall a smoking deal (no stupid pun intended). The car has 180k miles but seems to run pretty good. Looks to have new tires, maybe some kinda recent tune-up and I guess that's it as far as highlights lol.

Right off the bat, I hammered out all 4 pads and rotors, fixed the skip (one of the brand new spark plug wires was laying on the serpentine belt), changed the oil and registered/ insured the pig! So here is a recap of where i'm at....
-2000 Monte Carlo SS: 100.00
-Tax, Title, Registration: 204.00
-All Pads & Rotors: 138.00
-Rotella Oil Change & Blazer Filter: 32.00
-Junkyard Plug Wire: free
-Interior Detailing: 50.00
So at this point, i'm into her for roughly 524.00

My goal with this jalopy is to go as fast as i can before it blows to pieces with spending as little as possible. I'm going to take a combination of junkyard parts, crap I have kicking around from abandoned or sold projects, and tap the interwebs database of infinite bull**** to compile one hell of a beater. Usually i'm too busy making sure things are pretty and well thought out combinations with quality parts...but I think I am going to just have some fun with this one....
