What was your original point saying that your pump took a a sh1t? Still shavings in the pan, and if you drove it like that, it's fcked. Unless you somehow kept aluminum shavings out of the rest of the trans...? Didn't think so.

Max effort or stock, still a turbo breaking stuff.

I'll give you that one, abuse breaks more than a turbo... But it was still broken.

REDCRAPGP. his turbo broke his engine.

Spun bearing, hole in the side of the block. Still broken, still turbo.

I made the decision to NOT go turbo, and you literally quoted me as to why I'm making the decision I am. You can not presume to know my motivations, and if you still claim to know me better than I do, you are in a pitiful state of mind.

Yes, I claim to be broke most of the time. Yes, most of the time I'm joking, because I decide it's better to feed my family and keep them clothed than spend that money on car parts that I could easily buy later. Just because I'm not in a huge rush to go boosted does not mean that I will not, and if me taking longer to do it makes you somehow impatient and upset to the point you feel it's necessary to point out that turbos don't break things...? Ok.

No, I didn't include every example, one post doesn't have a high enough word count for that.

They're still going strong, because they don't even drive those cars hard. Because they don't want to break it. I know that I'll stomp on the gas, I know that I'll break stuff. Like I said before, I'm prepared for it. I'm not b!tching or complaining about anything being broke. I'm not crying. I'm not parting out. I haven't broken anything major yet.

Win what, exactly? I said if I went turbo I would break things, I don't feel like breaking things. Simple statement that didn't need an answer in the first place, but your obsession with me is extremely apparent right now.

And I wouldn't call you a millennial, you aren't nearly that retarded.

And Grimsin has an in-car Overkill tune. He'd have to go back to Will to have his changed. I know I could tune mine to shift into 4th before 65mph with 3.69 gears, but I don't have those right now. So it's pointless to try and change anything right now. Which is why I said I'll figure it out later.
Btw, Thanks for replying to my reply, to someone else? I suppose it made sense in your head.

Mine doesn't shift into fourth at 65mph, it shifts into 4th around 40mph when driving nicely.

I was stating that when cruising, at 65 mph when you floor it it won't go into second gear(second gear is almost revved out by then) it shifts into third and feels kinda gutless
Second gear goes till 75mph on stock shift points, so you could tune the pcm to shift into 2second at 65mph when you floor it but I doubt the trans would appreciate it lol, if I really want second gear at 65 mph I can manually select second so not a big deal

Who loves their boss? Like... ever? Lol And fine. Your car didn't break because of turbo. Congrats.

You seem to live the term penny pincher... Why does it matter that I don't spend more than others?

Idk, he doesn't have a ride thread... But he knows too much about turbo-ing to not have one.

Alaska is expensive when it comes to food, gas, heating oil, electrical power, and the specially insulated clothing needed in order to function like a normal human when the temperatures drop well below zero...
Where I live is much different than where you live, I assure you.

My pride is untouched by my current state of induction, because I have plenty other things in my life to be proud of. Actually helping others instead of insulting them is one of those things.

Aww... and again with that phrase! I'm going to call you Penny from now on.

You twisting the words onto yourself, people who want big power but skimp on correct parts are penny pinchers, read above

well good. I'm glad you're awesome to yourself.

I'm not looking for big power from this GP. A top-swap with a 3.4 is as far as I will go with this car. I'll get big power with a different platform later. like, years later.

That came from your comment that I have no family, because no kids. I still have to keep myself and my wife alive in a very unforgiving environment. on a 24k salary. life sucks and I'm making the best of it that I can right now. so no, I'm not gonna drop thousands or even hundreds on parts, because I don't need them right now.

I'm not proud of anything on this car, other than how rust free it is. everything else about it is a turd... but it's MY turd, and I'll polish it as shiny as I want.

Anything else you want to know Penny?

between two w-bodies, yes. if it's a turbo Geo Metro, then no. even slow N/A is faster than that... but it does still make turbo noises.

I decided not having an intake manifold insert was worse than stock, but my old stock one broke. so I made a temporary one.

    very temporary, but free.

Well........it looks like it fits. lol

I'm not gonna buy an HV3 right now, because I don't really need one, and it would be pointless once I got everything for the topswap.

But, this will help with the intake turbulence that I'm 99% sure is messing with my LTFTs. It ain't pretty, but it'll work.

Rotated the rear tires up to the front, now I have slightly less terrible traction.

My redneck HV3 does feel different, it seems to be slightly more consistent and feels better up top, but I could just be full of it. Lol

I'm more interested in the LTFTs being consistent sooner. So I can tune it properly and stop wasting fuel out of the exhaust... I'm surprised the cat hasn't clogged yet. Lol

I almost had a flat tire this morning...

It lost 30 psi halfway to work this morning, but somehow it didn't goo fully flat... Still had 5 psi when I got there.

So i had to limp it home, put air in it and drive back to work, because we're too busy today for me to have any time off, and the wife needs her car today....

I've now begun carrying my little pancake compressor in my car, in addition to all of the tools and winter supplies I already carry in my trunk. Lol

add a tire plug kit to your trunk kit of survival needs. most of the time you can plug a tire on the car still and keep on going.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

That's part of the winter kit.

Blankets, water, food, fire starters, a full complement of tools, gas can, bottle of coolant, couple quarts of oil, duct tape, electrical tape, JB Weld, RTV, and a tire repair kit.

Redneck HV3 is a successful experiment in my book, LTFTs have learned in 1/6th the time I was waiting for, before the insert was installed.
