Some GTs actually came with the LS3 heads (so ive been told from a reputable source) while the majority came with L92 heads from the 6.2L SUVs. Which are virtually LS3 heads, but I'd like to see the stamping on my heads to see which ones I have.

But to answer your question, no I won't be doing that.

The heads on the motor are already some of the best stock flowing heads ever made from GM. Changing to real cnc LS3 heads would be a waste of money.

821's are basically LS3 heads and the other number 823 are super similar, camaro's and corvette's ran them aswell. The 6.2 GXP's ran the same heads.

I was told this exact thing. The L92 and LS3 heads are very similar and both heads perform very well.

    Thanks for clarifying though.

You can see the stamping without taking the heads off dan, they're stamped in the corners. Look at your passenger side head near the front on the bottom corner. I'll find a pic for ya.

I hated G8s when they came out, but I've really started taking a liking to them lately, especially clean ones like yours, Dan. Enjoy, car looks beautiful

I'll have to take a look at my casting number. Hopefully I have the 821 or 823 heads.

    Which ones do you have?

It's going to be one of the three, not that it even matters. They all flow great and are some of the best out there.

Decided to give the car a hand wash, polish, and wax this evening. A few hours of my time and this car shines up amazing. I'm very happy with my purchase and probably couldn't have found a cleaner G8.

GXP Rear Diffuser (Still waiting on my custom plate )

With my tax returns, I will be buying a Solo Unbalanced Cat-Back, because this LS engine needs some noise. Then I'll be doing tint and front splitter after that.
