    Does anyone think when u do a top swap u need to switch tranny and cam?

    you don't need to change the transmission, but you can, and might as well put an XP cam with ported heads when you do a top swap.

    Thread title says L67 swap but you ask about a top swap?


    So what do you really want to know? A trans swap and cam swap isnt needed for either. Transmissions arent any stronger between the two, just different gear ratio and a different camshaft is just an option the owner can take if they want more power.

    While it's barely worth mentioning. The diff is a smidge stronger and the output shaft is slightly different too.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Top Swapped 01 Imp
    VS (very small?) cam, SD Headers, 2.8" pulley, 29°, ported everything, E85, AEM water/meth, Deka 60's, HPT tuned
