Hi I was wondering if it is possible to run a 3.2" pulley without an intercooler? If so, what mods would I need assuming I have the basic core modifications? Also, same question goes for 3.3" pulley. Thanks.

E85, or a cam. (or both) Im planning on running a 3.2 if i can after my XP install,so i hope it will be enough.lol
I feel dumb but what do you mean by "E85"? Haha
Its a fuel thats 85 percent (roughly) ethanol and 15 percent gas.Its like high octane race gas, reduces knock by heaps when its done correctly. You need bigger injectors and a tune to run it.And a gas station that will sell it.But its much cheaper than race gas.
Ok thanks for the info. I've never heard of E85 until now. I read on a couple websites 3.2" is possible with an XP cam and all mods for a 3.4". Do you agree with this?
why a 3.2?
Yes it is possible without an IC. A good cam setup and tune on 93 should get you knock free. Or E85.
It's better to match the pulley to the upgrades than the other way around.
I cant say yes for 100 percent because i havent done it yet,But i do believe its doable.Like i said, im doing just that here in 3 or four weeks.I would run an E85 setup, but its just not readily available in my area.Different parts of the country have different availability.I have heard of others running a 3.2 without an intercooler or E85, but i dont know how much timing they had.If i have to pull a bunch of timing to do a 3.2 then i will run a 3.3.
Edit: thats good to hear machinegun.
8* of timing ftw!
Meanwhile in the go fast club......
lolz...
I'm running a 3.25 no ic. But ic should be on soonish once the car is running right again. Then it's down to a 2.8
: D
i had a 3.25 pulley with nic cam, headers, 42.5# injectors, 255lph fuel pump, fuel pump rewire, and full exhaust with very minimal to 0* of KR
Core mods?
Headers, intake, colder heat range plugs, maybe a ported blower are the basic core mods.
