Hey Everyone! New owner from Washongton State. I picked up a 2003 GTP this past weekend. I wanted one for a 3rd vehicle/ my work commuter. For the price I feel they are a HUGE bang for buck. I really like the car but it seems that I have inherited someone elses problem. I amhere to research the valve cover and manifold gasket leaks. I need to get this done ASAP because I do not want to destroy the engine in this car. I can see the oil leaking from the front vavle cover and it was low on coolant. The temp gauge was fluctuating so I tried adding coolant and bleeding the system. I will see how it works when I drive it to work. Thanks for looking

Welcome to the site.. There are a few good write ups on how to do both the intake gaskets and the valve cover gaskets.

Well, I just went down to NAPA this morning and they ended up having everything. They even have the coolant elbows in stock. Should I just go ahead and replace those while I'm in there? The car has 103,000 miles on it.

Yes but use the alum elbows. And make sure the gaskets are alum also.

Yes. Don't get the plastic elbows. Or intake gasket. Both need to be aluminum

I think all they has was the plastic elbows. I haven't looked at the gasket yet. It was the one in the "kit".

I am going to start this today. I figure it will take a few hours. Hopefully I can get it done around noon and drink some beer.
