    Hey tryn to do ball joints on a 97. What's the best way to get the top nut off holdin the ball joint. The dam cv joint gets in the way

    once you pop the ball joint free, just buy new lower control arms and install them, new bushings and a new ball joint for about 40 bucks a side cant be beat.

    98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    Use a 18mm open end wrench and turn it off as far as you can then pop the ball joint and take it the rest of the way off
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.

    K got that. How about putting it back on? Can't get wrench in there. Sorry first time doing any suspension chasis work. Wana make sure it's on there tight

    you can get a wrench in there. try turning the wheels one way or the other, it may make the bolt easier to get for you.

    I fought with mine a little, I just ended up using an open end wrench and penetrating oil to get it off.

    There should be 1 boot on the ball joint, it needs to stay there.
