What extra comforts do the gxp's have that the other gps don't?
For about a third of what most spend on their gxp I've got a comp g that's just as nice and a lot faster but still sounds not near as good
Nicer interior stock v stock
Seats aren't any nice than any other gp are they? Brakes on my comp g stop me just fine. Worlds better than my 98. Suspension was great on the comp g too
I wouldn't say the GXP seats aren't much better...yes the suede does help with keeping the seats a bit cooler..the bolster are the same and yea we have the power lumbar. Any 06+ will have the same interior...or could easily be upgraded down the road. Brakes are good especially when matched with a good set of brake pads. Billsteins are obvious geared more toward comfort until you have to replace them chances are you may cheap out and go with kyb etc.
I have power lumbar on my comp g. I'm not saying the gxp don't have better brakes I'm just saying the comp g stops perfectly fine with stock brakes. Suspension rode great on the comp g when I got it. It's slightly worse now with lowering springs and kyb's.
Bilsteins are not by any meas originally designed for comfort. Iirc gm using bilsteins on a fwd car was a industry first this were way ahead of agx's I used to have on my GTP.
I see this kinda went in a different direction, but with what research I have done within the last year to now, that price is a little high, even for a dealer, so unless there is a real good warranty included or something, I would keep shopping around. I had seen 04 and 05 Comp-G's with around 50k miles going for under 11k, and two GXP's, one was 07 and the other was 08 in my area, with 80+k miles, both were little over 11k.
