    I was guessing for a performance tranny it'd run me around $3k atleast. haven't hunted for them much but think it was zzr had them for 3-4ish depending on what it had done to it

    hmmm, didn't even think of that. being the lesabre basically has no frame tho it'd be a lot of work still, more than 7k i'd say

    Better off getting rid of the Buick and looking online for a 97 thru 2003 GTP Coup with low mileage under 50K. Or better yet, look for a good deal on a G8, those are sweet rides also

    This makes the most sense if you want the car to be bad ass without all the problems. It shouldn't matter why these people tell you like buy a RWD or another car, if you like what you have and can afford it go for it. There are a lot of know it all's and overall douche bags in this forum so be careful and pick and choose who you listen to.
