Welcome.. enjoy the torque, it's likely foreign to you...lol

Go with maintenance and just enjoy driving it. Watch your trans temps, maybe a cooler is your first mod.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Tq is... Different.. Lol. My maxima was the first thing with any sort of tq @ 255 but I believe I have around 320 now, BIG difference.

What's this I hear about the trans temp? And cooler? Links, prices?
I figure it's from the fact that the gears are so dam long..?

I love carbon fiber, I've seen like two hoods, a spoiler.. Which is kinda huge.. (No good) and a sick set of Pontiac badges. Also seen the "Grand Prix LS4" badge that I would like to pick up.

Not sure what my warranty limits me to. i bought the car for the warranty so im probably going to leave her stock for a while. I'm sure I could get a catback exhaust but I want to go a little more free flowing than that if you know what I mean lol..I live in Louisiana so all they do for brake tags is check your lights, horn, and tint..

The LS4 block is aluminum, it transfers all its heat to the transmission. The trans fluid does not like the hot temps and burns out the fluid quickly thus shortening the life of the transmission if the fluid is not changed more often. Keeping the trans temp around 180-200 is alot better than the 210-230 that many people see without a cooler.

As for the exhaust, the catback from the factory is pretty free flowing, you won't see any real gains by buing a cat-back system. Just buy some different mufflers to change the sound and pocket the rest of the cash.

Which hayden coolers did you have? Also what post # on your ride page? I know you've got the GXP, but I have the hayden 403 and 404, and I was test fitting them today. The 403 fits perfectly vertically, and the 404 won't fit at all, unless I remove the center vertical brace and mount it horizontally.

I currently have two of the 403's. But the one I'm about to install is from triple edge performance. It should have pics on the last page or second to last page

89 si blew when I was 17. Had it for 18 days with a built d16z6. Bought it like that. I was a NOOB! And 17, first car. Didn't check the oil.. Pop!

Second was just a plain old eg hatch. Autotragic, d series. Carbon fiber. Tint. Etc.. I was still learning..

Traded that for a bone stock standard one. The 8 valve engine lol.. Full neuspeed suspension, Jdm foglights. Custom piping with a stock GSR engine and tranny. Swapped myself, rebuilt the tranny in my backyard myself, first time too lol. Took a few months to find the parts I needed and to save up but I got it done, had a 75 wetshot installed but never got a chance to spray. Blew the compression racing a mustang one night and had to sell it. Few other minor mods but nothing worth rambling on about. Gauges, bolt ons Etc.. Was supposed to be low 13's on spray but never got that far like prev stated..

But this isn't a Honda forum lol, so now thats out of the way, I have noticed my trans fluid in the mid 220's while running a camaro SS last night.
I was on his back bumper by 120 then I let off. Started around 70ish.

I'll buy the cooler and keep it on stand by for when my warranty expires, along with different mufflers/exhaust.
I want my exhaust to be on the loud side, any suggestions?

Thanks for the Honda question btw, that last bit about not being a Honda forum was a (uninteded) low blow to you so I'm sorry about that.

That black boosted gxp on here is clean as hell too! Wish I had a different color.. The silver is nice

Well, I'm from Arkansas. Currently living in South Dakota, moving back south in about a year after my wife graduates. I recently owned my first Honda not too long ago, sold it because I needed more interior room. It was a 93 prelude with an JDM H22A/LSD tranny swap...couple bolt ons, lots of rust. It was a fun car to drive, and the reason I asked about your Hondas. BTW, feel free to talk about what ever car you want here It may be a Grand Prix forum, but a lot of us own other cars too.
