I asked this question before but I'm looking to pickup some more answers here.

I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix (Base model), which typically runs without any flaws. But every-time you start the car, you can feel the RPM's drop for just a second (about 2-seconds after start-up). Now this usually isn't an issue but it's happened a few times where the car will just shut-off during this drop. All I have to do is crank the key again and I'm good to go. So with that said, do you believe the only thing really needed is for me to replace the fuel filter, spark plugs, and use some injection cleaner? OR could there be another underlying issue.

Clean the MAF sensor and throttle body plate.

That is normally the cause of this issue.

It must be because I'm also noticing some terrible gas mileage on this car. Once I get a chance to clean the thing up I'll come back to the board.

Just wanted to let you know, I cleaned the throttle body and everything seems to be running perfectly. Thank you very much!
