    I have replaced a bad lifter. spark plugs wires fuel filter and still have the ping but only on accelerating

    kinda need to know what your driving. year and what engine and so on.

    if super charged maybe your not using 91 or higher octane.

    Yeah we need a lot more info to figure anything out.

    Sorry 2001 grand prix supercharged 3.8 L V6 also just rebuilt trans

    your using 91 octane or higher?

    last tune up?

    pinging is not so common. its usually cause because the engine is over heating, or the timing is way off. and its kinda hard for the timing to move in these newer cars.
