Hey a quick ? My HUD recently started getting dim and after researching a little it could probably be needing to be resoldered? I'm not that handy so would this be a somewhat easy task to do ? Or should I just not mess with it ? Again it's getting dim during the day. Any suggestions are welcomed .

Even if you don't have great soldering skills its not too bad. I did mine over a year ago and its still nice and bright. The solder points are pretty easy to hit with not much around them if I remember correctly. I had a harder time getting the dash pieces apart without breaking anything.

It's super easy. Once the iron is up to temp..all you have to do is touch the two locations for the piece. You touch one..and see the solder move a little.. move to the other and poof..done.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I need to do this as well - mine isn't just dim, it's typically out all together...then comes on for a bit, then fades out completely again. My main concern isn't the soldering part - it's taking the dash pieces out. Never done that on this car, and not sure how...
