Let me first say I've searched this forum and google for clear answers but nothing clear. I looked everywhere I could think before posting. Now I need some help.

I ordered a 'Pivot Illumi Starter' button. It came in today. The directions are in Chinese so I looked up them in English and the wires were different.

The switch plugs right into the relay so no wiring there. There's 4 wires coming out of the relay:
Black: I know that's the ground.

Red: I THINK goes to the red battery wire under the steering column but I'm not sure. So idk. (Says something about connecting to Terminal 15)

Blue: Idk. (Something about being connected to terminal 15 ign)
Blue: Idk. (Something about connecting with the above blue connecting terminal 50)

i need some help on this one. I don't wanna tear into it being only like 50% sure of what I'm doing.
Thanks for your time to anyone helping.

    Thanks for the reply.

I got it working. Push start is working fine. But the red button light won't stay on? Can someone tell me why that is? It turns on when I press it to turn the car over but it won't stay on...

depends on the button, it may only light up when power is applied, like pushing it to start. if the light has a separate wire for power you can wire that to a ignition on fuse so it stays lit up only when the car is on.

ok. Now the ground wire just touched the red wire going to the switch and it sparked, now it wont work.

    Why is that?

Can a switch be blown? is it the relay? is it a fuse?

You probably blew the main ignition fuse.

Terminal 15 typically refers to switched ignition. Terminal 50 I typically starter output.

Thanks very much for the reply Rob.

What if the car still starts? Would it still be the fuse? and if so, where is that fuse?

its in the fuse box in the car, or under the hood.

The car still starts and the only ignition fuse I seen was "l/p ign" or something like that. and its not blown.

    Could it be the button/switch?

is there a in line fuse in the switch? if so that may have blown. or the switch took a dump.

so the car will still start with the key then right?

Yes the car starts with the key.

Idk if theres an inline fuse in the switch, i dont think it opens?

    Could it be the relay?

if theres a relay within the push button wires, it could be bad. if theres a relay, there should be a fuse tho. any time you wire any switch, the power wire should have a fuse.

that box looks like it should open. im guessing thats the relay, and maybe a fuse.

im at a loss on this one. could have killed it, surprised theres no fuse.

i just wired up a push button starter to a commercial lawn mower. its got starter like a car, i ran one wire from the solenoid to the switch, and then power to the other side of the switch, hit the button it jumps the solenoid and makes the engine crank.

so pretty much, you turn the key, then hit the button to crank the engine. only thing is, you can crank it when the key is off, but its a lawn mower, not a big deal, i had to do this because the ignition switch quit working.
