    which would be a better easier way to lower my car...and for the springs would i have to compress the spring or could i get it in a lift and take them off? not to knowledgeable with suspensions. and also i have a squeeking sound coming from the rear could it be sway bar bushings?

    02 grand prix gt- L67 swap, ZZP 1.0 pcm, thrasher CAI, SLP 2.5 catback, A/C delete, 02 emulator, poly dog bone mounts, 6000k projectors with CCFL halos, 12 in slotted front rotors, ported blower and intake, evap and EGR deleted, 12" kicker cvr with 1000 watt amp, alpine cda 9886 deck

    on these cars yes and check out some threads on coil overs and lowering

    Springs need to be compressed if your having to remove the spring or strut apart from the rest of the assembly.Can easily be done yourself without paying a mechanic to do it autozonerents coil spring compressor for around $25 or so and you get that refunded back when you return it.

    You can buy the spring compreasor for like $30, that's what o did.

    And coilovers if you intend on shooting for that low stance.

    i would prefer coil overs but they are like $800 and the springs are like $117

    Good coilovers are a bit more than that... Figure around $1,200
