I have a 99 gtp with a broken tranny, and the engine has 220,000miles on it so i want to change them both, i found an engine and Transmission out of an 04 CompG GTP and was wondering if that engine and transmission will just bolt into my car. or if i will have to do any PCM or instrument panel modifications to make it work?

    Short answer, no.

    It will not work.

Engine and trans are different than your cars, even if you used the PCM from the 04 car, it will not match up to anything else in the 99 car.

You need a 97-02 trans from a supercharged car.

The only thing that is materially different or that wouldn't work well in your car is the transmission. You can easily use the engine with a throttle body adapter and fuel rail swap. (you have your old fuel rail)
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I take it he didnt read much of our posts with a reply like that.

Sure you can use the motor no problem, but its not just a drop in and drive type of deal, there are many small things that have to be changed in order to run it correctly.

And as said before, you can't use the transmission.

Here's what you do. Put your map sensor, TB (with adapter), evap or use the Gen V evap, run a pcv port to the TB (drill and tap) and it'll go right in.
